They just don't care. They are running this hotel into the ground, in it to make the money and nothing else. There are no other hotels in Grafton so one is forced to stay here. I've had to stay here twice a year for 10 years now. In the beginning it was good until new management took over. The bar and food closed down. They use to make great homemade pizzas that were worth looking forward too. The hot tub has never been open and the pool is hit or miss. The rooms are dirty, appears they barely ran a vacuum over the floors. They should shampoo the carpets. Holes in the ceiling down the halls, daylight showing between the wall mounted heater/AC. Fingerprints on the furniture in the room tell you they did not wipe anything down. When you first walk in there is usually someone sitting at the front desk on their phone and others just standing around. Sidewalks are not shoveled. Basically there are a lot of things that could be done to improve this hotel, but there is absolutely no effort to do so. When you see the rates go up you're optimistic that maybe they have made some updates to improve the property, but it appears it is only to pad their pocket book.

There is a small couch, desk, dresser, two side table and (of course) the bed. The closet has space for hanging clothes, three half shelf's and a full length shelf across the very top. Amenities are nice; pool, small gym, jacuzzi, and laundry. The hotel has a breakfast buffet each day, and on Monday thru Wednesday they have a social hour with beer, wine, and snacks. The lobby, elevators, common area carpets and walls look great. The staff are incredibly nice and were more than helpful in telling me about places to see and eat at. The room I had was very nice, clean and comfortable. It has a thermostat I could control to make the room more comfortable. If you have a critical eye, the room was showing a little wear. The vinyl flooring in the kitchen and the ceiling in the shower had some slight water damage. The desk chair was shedding its top layer of fabric, and the ottomans had seen their fair share of use. The breakfast was kinda garbage but it was free. Basically some bagels, fruit, oatmeal and odd omelets. They rotate bacon or sausage every other day. The pool area was nice and it remained open until 11. The hottub was actually hot as well. Overall it's not a bad spot to stay the night. They have kitchenettes in the rooms and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water with good shower pressure. Try to get a top floor room though.

It is a little older looking, however, it is very clean and doesn't smell (no musty, fishy, watery, old smell). I checked in for one night and needed to stay a second night. They accommodated me with ease! Positives: -Nice staff, quick and efficient check-in -Clean room (felt super safe) -The fastest internet (beats the other hotels in the area by far) -Comfy beds Negatives: -Flat pillows -Very small gym (don't plan on working out) I'd stay in this comfy and cozy place again!
