The doctor described the tendons as "shredded." This was not exactly the adjective I was hoping for, and surgery was required. The surgery was uneventful, and took place right across the street at Hacienda Surgery Center. On my next visit to the doctor he provided color photos of my surgery. It's sort of like doing selfies, except you're unconscious. Several weeks later, I was in the capable hands of the onsite physical therapist, Mark Snyder, assisted by his capable assistant. Karen. These folks are excellent-- professional, as well as friendly. I sometimes call Mark, "Mr.Pain." It was originally, "Dr. Pain," but he reminded me he was not yet a doctor. I don't know why I came up with that nickname for Mark. During physical therapy, whilst icing my shoulder, the PT team allows me to watch the TV show, "Sherri." This is part of Mark's therapy, and provided at no extra charge. I am always pleased with the proficiency professionalism and courtesy of the great staff here. A top tier medical practice happens neither easily or quickly. Doctor Bell is a very capable surgeon. I would not go anywhere else. But please don't tell the physical therapist that I call him Mr.Pain. That nickname might be misinterpreted , and they might cut me off from the "Sherri" TV show.

Persistent Knee Pain After Multiple Surgeries…read more Last year, I underwent my first arthroscopy and partial meniscectomy with a different doctor at Golden State Orthopedics. Due to ongoing pain in my right knee after that initial surgery, I was referred to Dr. Elrashidy. Dr. Elrashidy initially recommended extensive physical therapy, and I completed at least 30 sessions. However the pain did not resolve, leading us to pursue a second surgery for Hoffa's Pad removal. It has now been three months since this second procedure, and I am still experiencing the same level of pain I had before the surgery. Concerns Regarding Post-Surgical Care Following my second surgery, I've had three follow-up sessions. However, Dr. Elrashidy has been absent from all of these appointments; his Physician Assistant (PA) has attended in his place. Dr. Elrashidy had assured me he would help manage my knee pain, but I feel he has become disengaged since the surgery. This situation is extremely frustrating.

I've lived in Northern California for nearly 10 years and have (unfortunately) been to numerous PT…read moreplaces, and this is the best in my area (and apparently areas far and wide; I've spoken to numerous patients in the waiting room that drive up to 2 hours to this place for therapy). "My" (although I've heard she sees other patients, too!) physical therapist, Julie, is the first therapist that seems to "get" that a PT program is useless if it overloads the patient such that they just won't practice it at home between appointments. She's the first therapist who I feel has heard ME and structured the number of reps and duration of the exercises to what I'M capable of following through with on a regular basis rather than taking a page out of some book and assigning "what they say is appropriate for my condition." So even when I "flake" and don't do my exercises for up to a few days in a row (yes, I admit I'm far from perfect), I always know that when I decide to go back to them, it won't be torture and I WILL be able to do them--and so I always end up getting back "into the groove" (which has not been the case at my other PT places up here, where I would just get discouraged and give up). The ladies at the front desk are all very bright, friendly and kind. When I get their VM, I can text them, or they call me back within a reasonable length of time. I'm (obviously) very pleased with SRVPT, and I highly recommend them.

We drove all the way out from Tracy specifically because Tracy was booked out for over a month. When I booked this, I explicitly stated the appointment was regarding Durable Medical Equipment (DME). What makes this entirely unacceptable is that we are existing patients. The clinic already has all of my husband's insurance information on file. Despite having our records right in front of them, the staff failed to check them. Upon arrival, we were told he never should have been scheduled because this specific location doesn't take his insurance, nor do they even help with acquiring DME. Because of their lack of due diligence, we wasted three hours of our day and were left dealing with massive, unnecessary stress. To make matters worse, after making me wait 30 minutes to speak with a manager, the manager completely lacked empathy. I was in tears and pacing, shredding a piece of tissue just to keep myself from having a complete meltdown from the stress they caused. Instead of focusing on solving our actual dilemma, the manager approached me to scold me about the tissue paper. While they offered a hollow verbal apology, they made absolutely no offer to compensate us for our lost time, travel expenses, or severe distress. The absolute least management could do is exercise basic human tolerance and compassion when their own office's incompetence pushes a patient's family to their breaking point. Absolutely terrible administrative handling and zero true accountability.
