OK so I went to Alex nails a couple weeks ago and I did a full set of liquid gel just natural pink look which I loved she did amazing. It was awesome and I was only charged 60 and I tipped her 20 so the total was 80 well today I went in asked for the same lady as we had planned and she did a fill let I mind you This is only a fill but yet she charged me 50 and I left her a nine dollar tip. How are you gonna charge me $50 for the same thing for a fill-in when you originally charge me 60 for it to be done so unfortunately I probably will not be going back to her because to try to scam me like that or try to pull one over is kind of bullshit and frustrating so yeah I don't know how I feel about that because I talk very highly about this business and about her and I have recommended her to a lot of my friends and business people which now I'm gonna have to retract those statements to them and let them know to watch her or to watch the business itself because I tip good. I respect my hard-working people so I always make sure I pay and to get effed over like that kind of upsets me so yeah I will probably be looking for a new nail tech so any suggestions greatly would be appreciated thank you. This is the only place I have found in this area where my nails do not lift. Some of the techs are not great. I really like Mary (patient, personable), and tech #8 (gentle and efficient). I have had bad experiences with other techs and if you go in and complain, they tell you to come back if the tech that did your nails is not there. read more

Lazy workers , kept saying no to every request I made & didn't even give me the nail designs I wanted best believe I had a better nail tech fix my issues the very next hour. Iv been going there for a"about 17 years. The last few times my girl could just not do my shape right anymore. I liked her, so I did deal with my couple of nails going in the wrong direction. The last time was awful. I went back that same day and the man owner charged me again full price. I was not happy due to it being the techs error. He offered me a $5 discount LOL. I was getting a fill every 2 weeks w pedicures. I tipped very well, even when it was wrong. Was it worth losing a long time customer? I purchased a gift certificate for my daughter in the amount of $100. My daughter lost it. She called the salon and spoke with the female owner Michelle. She said they could do nothing about a lost certificate. She has no record. My daughter found that gift certificate months later. Michelle told her she could no longer use it. It was expired. My daughter researched it and found they had to honor it. She is also a long standing customer. After she used that certificate she no longer goes there. I do not recommend this place They are not nice and in my opinion, the service and quality you get is very much lacking read more

I am a frequent of Alex's, and it's a good experience for the price. Sometimes there will be minor mistakes in my manicure, but overall it is very good for the price they charge. Unfortunately though, they do not take card, you have to bring cash! Or if you don't, there is an ATM with a fee. The only downside to the experience is that it is very busy, it's a long wait if it's rush hour. read more

Ok I'm here to rant because I'm absolutely pissed off! Ladies and gays whatever you do don't go to Alex nails & spa 5306 Allentown Pike Temple Pa. First off they took their sweet time just to mess my nails up! Were so rough with my feet! The acrylic is cheap! The nail polish is cheap! The shaping of my nails are ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! all different shapes! I have lumps and bubbles all over!! Even the toilet paper is the worst I've had yet!!! I ended up very upset and still paid ALOT OF MONEY BTW because I just wanted to leave and I had other guest with me in my car that needed to go home. So to top it off THE VERY NEXT DAY (today) my nail cracked right in the middle so now I'm bleeding and in pain! I called asking for a refund she said she can't I have to wait for it to heal so they can't fix it! Yea okay I will never step one foot in that place again! read more

First and last time I will ever go to this nail salon. I was looking for a local place that does the dip powder and saw in reviews that this place does it. I was seated in chair 6 and the woman was horrible! A toddler could have performed a better job that hurt less and didn't end in my nail beds bleeding. She did not take her time and seemed to just be going through the motions until she started filing my skin and I yanked my hand away. After I pointed out to the nail tech that it hurt and I was bleeding, she decided to not put the activator and top coat on a third of that nail, so some of my nail shines and the rest is a dull flat color. What's worse, is at the end I pointed out to her how much color was still all around my nail beds. She spent a solid 15 seconds trying to remove some of it and it didn't come off so she turned off her light and walked to the register. Clearly she was done with me. I now get to spend the next 30 minutes trying to remove all the excess color. Thanks. Not worth the time, pain, and money. Spend more and go to a place that actually takes slight pride in their work. read more

I would honestly give this place ) stars if I could. I can do my own nails better, I obviously enjoy getting them done because it is quicker. But do not come here!!! I've tried this place 3 times, I was desperate & I live nearby. I was only happy one time. One time I asked the girl to fix an acrylic nail that she messed up n she had such an attitude about it, so the manager/owner came to fix it & he even did a horrible job. Never again! My friend and I went to get our nails done and our experience was less than satisfactory to say the least. Not only did the woman get nail polish all over my fingers but the cut was so uneven. The polish was clearly old because it was separating and the woman cut my friends finger. Im not usually picky but I wouldn't go back. read more

I went in for waxing, I told her in the beginning, if it wasn't long enough or she wasn't able to get it all to not do it. I was in there for about an hour, the owner? manager? kept coming in and asking what was taking so long or something (of course, not in English, which I find very rude when they're obviously talking about me.) She also dripped wax on my clothes. The lighting was very poor in the room so when she was finished I didn't see much hair left, but when I got outside I noticed there was at least 1/3 of the hair still there! They also charged me almost double what they originally quoted because it took so long. Well, I told her if she couldn't do it, not to, so why was how long it took my problem? Very unhappy, will never return there for any services. read more

GO TO ANOTHER NAILS SALON !! this place isn't worth your money. i asked to get my set taken off the proper way (by dipping them) before a new set and i automatically got passed on to another person, fine. the entire service was horrible but after everything was set and done the lady who soaked my nails took the same acetone she used to dip my nails and funneled it back into a bottle and stored it for later use!!! then the lotion they used to "massage" my hands after the service has so much acrylic powder in it that it stuck to my skin like crazy glue, when i told the owner about it she dismissed me and the ignore what i was saying, their the owner is so rude and always has an attitude and her workers follow suit. worst place i've been to in a while GO TO POSH NAILS INSTEAD, they are polite, accommodating, and the place is very relaxing. had i not been in a rush today that's where i would've gone read more

I went in for a pedicure a few days ago. It was very busy but they got me in pretty quick. The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed the pedicure but wish the paint job was a little better. The nail tech that I had got quite a bit of polish on my toes and some of it was messed up after I left. I am 9 months pregnant so the paint job was better then I could have done myself, but still wish it was a little better. Despite the paint job I would definitely go there again. read more
