My mother was having a toothache, so she went to Mesquite Dental to have it looked at. After the…read moreinitial evaluation, they planned to have the tooth extracted. The tooth clearly should have been extracted sooner rather than later as it got infected. A clear red flag as to what would come later. When my mother arrived for the next agreed upon appointment, the tooth could not be extracted at that time due to the infection. Another appointment was scheduled, and antibiotics were prescribed for the infection. When my mother arrived for the next appointment, she was informed that no appointment was scheduled. My mother showed the receptionist the appointment card she was given, clearly indicating the date and time(see photo). No attempt was made at that point to rectify the situation or apologize. In fact, the staff talked down to my mother and acted like she made the mistake, even though all of her paperwork indicated that the oversight was theirs. They were obstinate and made no attempt to rectify the situation at that time. My mother left in disgust at that point. The patient does not come first here, and they proudly let you know it. With such abhorrent customer service on offer, my mother has decided to seek treatment elsewhere.

I had my x-rays sent to them twice and they claim they didn't get them. They want me to pay for an X-ray before I can get a tooth cleaning. She asked me to diagnose my problem because I told her I had been a dental assistant a long time ago. I'll never step foot in that office again.

I went to Falcon Ridge Dental Care for over five years. The issues built up to the point that I…read moredid not trust Dr. Harmer's work or the way that he runs his practice. Just a few examples: 1) Before I had insurance and was paying all out of pocket, he did work on a tooth. Only one year later, he said the work was old and needed to be redone. I had to tell him that the work was only one year old. 2) Three times he took x-rays that insurance did not require or request. When insurance did not pay, he billed me. After talking with my insurance, I refused to pay him. 3) I needed information from Dr. Harmer for insurance purposes regarding work that he had done on a tooth. For whatever reason, I never received the information from Dr. Harmer or his office manager (his wife, who is there only part-time).

Need Braces? Go see Dr. Simister!…read more Either one Jeff or Brad - they are brothers and both are great. I have 5 kids who will all need braces. We are half way through. My oldest 2 are done and my daughter is in treatment now. My younger two have been having regular visits and we are just waiting until the timing is right to start their treatment. We usually see Dr. Jeff since when we started treatment way back at the beginning of 2005 Dr. Brad had not yet finished school and joined the practice. When we have needed to be seen for something to be fixed or needed to change an appointment we have sometimes seen Dr. Brad and he is just as knowledgeable and friendly. The office also does adult orthodontic treatment and so I too now have braces at the age of 41 (finally fixing my own crooked teeth). It hadn't been in my plans to get braces for myself because I assumed I was too old but I am super happy with the treatment I have gotten from Dr. Simister's office. I love the office staff. Some of them have been there for the 9+ years we have been going to his office. My kids love the monthly contest/giveaways and the brace bucks too. (He just switched to a new Patient Points system that is all online but we haven't had a chance to check it out yet). My daughter's teeth ended up taking longer than the original treatment plan projected (she didn't always wear her bands and broke some brackets, had an open bite, etc.) and there was no extra cost for the extended length of treatment. They let you know up front what you will be paying and then stick to that price. I highly recommend you visit Dr. Simister's office for a consultation if you need orthodontic treatment. We were originally referred to their office by a friend who has also had all their children seen by Dr. Simister.
