By the end of the day we had an estimate and a date for removal. The company was naturally swamped with jobs during this time so we did not expect them to come on time. They showed up when they said they would, did an excellent job, cleaned the lawn, took away the remnants of the tree and worked until after dark. I would recommend CJL Tree Service very highly to anyone who needs help with their trees. We will definitely call them again if we ever need help with any of our other trees and will let all my friends know about their outstanding service.

On a Friday get a call asking if they can come do the service, they had a cancellation. It was not good for me so we decided the following Thursday. The crew was on time, very thorough and worked hard most of the day. The end result is beautiful, but it was a very frustrating process. The owners are nice young guys, but might need to learn some customer service basics.

3/14/2021 My review…read moreabout this Landscaping company is in regards to Firewood. I recently called this business to a request a face cord delivery of firewood back in November 2020. They delivered on-time a face cord of seasoned firewood on 11/20/2020 for a price of $200.00. The driver was friendly and polite and I was told they accept check or cash for payment, therefore I paid in cash for the load. I felt that the price was high yet I was told on the phone that the distance of 12 miles was added in extra for a delivery charge. SMH This business is located in Armada, Michigan off of 32 Mile Rd. which in calculation to my home off of 22 Mile Rd. equaled a total of 10 miles from business yard to my driveway. The firewood load had many large stump pieces that needed to be split and cut in order to fit inside the insert of my fireplace. Oh Well, seeing was believing plus I assumed that all companies split the wood on the thinner side. After All I've been buying firewood since 1992. The wood burned great and lasted till Feburary 1, 2021. Price too high! Quick and easy and then I was directed around the side to be loaded up. In and out in five minutes. The thing that got me besides the great customer service was also the extent of their inventory. They have quantities for the DIYers or the home gardeners as well as huge piles of gravel, sand and such for commercial use. They have the ability to service anyone needs and are quick to do so. Thank you so much

WARNING: DO NOT hire First Response Roofing and Construction…read more   We hired them in 2021 to do extensive work on our home, including installing new windows and replacing vinyl siding. Today, my house is in worse shape than before they started their work and I am out over $25,000.   My review is very limited due to the word count limitations by the site.  Here are the key takeaways from our experience with First Response Roofing :  1.  They fraudulently represented that they were licensed to perform the contracted for work on my home when they were not;  2. We didn't discover that they were unlicensed until it became clear that they were not qualified to peform the work they were paid to do.  One example of their lack of qualifications is that during the installation of our new Pella windows, the workers were using such force to place the new windows in, the drywall inside my home cracked.  I then noticed that the windows were installed with no window jams. I asked why they were using such force to cause cracks in the interior of my home and why there were no jams, and was given several, inconsistent explanations that made no sense.  I required that they stop work on the home until the issue could be resolved. 3. As of 9/16/2022, the work remains unfinished.  Since they stopped working, I have learned that they removed structual componenets surrounding a large window in the front of my home when taking out the old window.  They installed the new window without replacing the structual components (headers) - even though THE CONTRACT EXPLCITLY REQUIRED THE INSTALLTION OF STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS WITH THE NEW WINDOW.  In addition to the incomplete work, I have been advised that if the window isn't reinstalled with the structural compenets, the roof in that area of the home will begin to sag and eventually fall in. 4.   The lien remains today, despite the fact that they know they broke the law in placing the lien (and performing the work on my home while unlicensed).  In fact, THEIR ATTORNEY CALLED ME ABOUT THE OUTSTANDING BALANCE THEY CLAIMED I OWED FOR THE UNCOMPLETED WORK AND WHEN I TOLD HIM THEY WERE UNLICENSED, HE SAID HE WAS UNAWARE AND IF THAT WAS TRUE, I WOULDN'T HEAR FROM HIM AGAIN.  I NEVER HEAD FROM HIM AGAIN!! THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET THE WORK DONE BY A LICENSED AND QUALIFIED CONTRACTOR IS TO PAY FOR THE ENTIRE JOB TO BE REDONE BECAUSE NO OTHER CONTRACT IS WILLING TO WORK FROM WHAT FIRST RESPONSE STARTED BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT THE LIABILITY FROM TFIRST RESPONSE'S WORK.
