Long Review: I've been to a number of different hair salons across the Niagara Region looking for somebody who has the skill to work with my rather difficult head of hair. One time, I was asked to be a hair model and be cut by 'pro's from new york' at a different big name Salon in the region only to end up with a haircut that looked bad and didn't suit me at all. Disenchanted with salons, I gave up for a long time and just went to regular barber shops to get standard issue, boring haircuts. I was told by a number of people to see Vito at his newly opened salon in Thorold called Vanity and today, I went in and was blown away at the incredible attention to detail, professionalism, eye for trends and welcoming atmosphere of Vito and the rest of the staff at Vanity Salon. They've won me over as a customer and I will definitely recommend Vanity to all of my friends.

I have medium-length hair, easy to work with. It was piled up in random ways, pins sticking out, no hairspray, hairs flying out. I ended up paying $90 and leaving in a rush because we had photos to do, and I was almost in tears, I had to redo the entire thing myself. I called the next day and requested a refund and luckily they granted it, but the manager was extremely short with me. I will NOT be going back ever.

With him I have been platinum blonde, basically white, and silver. My silver colour held so well and I kept it for years. After my roots had grown out so long during quarantining this year, I decided to embrace my natural stawberry/dirty blonde colour for a while. The colour match Tim did was so accurate I couldn't tell my roots from the dyed hair. Also, Tim is just a great person to be around and to talk to, joke around with, or even have a heart to heart. He's very honest and I think that is a very important quality in someone your trusting you hair with!

If you must go, bring your boyfriend or husband and get them to establish a price before you go forward with any service. Leila, her sister and family are like the Gypsies in Europe that steal dozens of iPhones (per day) and wallets full of cash from unexpecting tourists. The rats and pickpocketing thieves that everybody hates. They are the slimiest scum of this earth. So fake nice and tacky and overtop manipulative. Support ethically owned Canadian businesses. TLDR: came in with blue hair that was blonde underneath, walked out with black hair that I spent $300 to achieve only two days prior. My hair is black again and she charged me $200 when it should've been not more than $50 for the service. Brought $50 worth of dye from sally's and she mixed black dye into it and ruined my hair! Total spent: $500 and my hair is back to black from Leila's greed. She's a monster. Website listed funky colours prices as $75 and $70 for regular ones. Even a foil all over the head colour was only $140 MAX. So how does she reckon that a sloppy all over a colour where products were brought from the client warrants charging me $200? Red flag** observed 90% of customers as 70+ in age. No sign with prices of services anywhere. No flyers or posters. Prices made up on the spot based on how much she can thinks she can rip you off. Other complaints state similar occurrences. This lady needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau. I will be the one to do it. Leila even had the audacity to ask me to leave her a Google review. Here it is lady lol. She knew she needed to lift my hair more to get it evenly blue so she turned my hair black, knowing she could skip out on colour removal and the bleaching process. That's why she said my blue dye and hair was cheap and ugly. Insult the client to get them to agree to let her dye it black. Lazy. She worked on my hair less than 5 mins. No wonder she wouldn't give me the quote, knowing full well that I would not have gone through with it. I also wasn't given a receipt or a price breakdown on her justification of cost. At the end, she said I was lucky I wasn't charged $250. FYI I had the consultation prior but she REFUUSEDD to give me a quote. That's the whole point of having one - to come in for a hair assessment to get a price confirmed. I kept asking for a ballpark range, she kept stating she was going to give a really good deal since she didn't know the price. I assumed it would be $50 max! She should have removed the colour and lifted it more before adding blue (without her black mix). This takes effort to do vs what she did to me. She is lazy and greedy. *** What I got** she haphazardly mixed all the dye I brought (with her own black dye) and the dumped it all over my head in a sink!! I didn't get to sit in a salon chair and have her work and take time to thoughtfully colour it. After that, she left me sitting with my head in the sink for almost 1 hour while she flirted with a grandpa. Her sister washed my hair and it was done. She didn't do any more work on me. She told his granddaughter 10 times that they were going to take him home and that the little girl could keep the dog. He looked uncomfortable and kept his head down. They laughed uncontrollably and spoke their language. They were so inappropriate. Literally flirted the whole time with the man. Nobody wants you lady. Lmao After that, my scalp was burning and I was dizzy and disoriented from not only the chemicals, but having my head hanging backwards for TOO long. After I went home, I couldn't get off the couch for almost 3 hours because my whole body was so sore. And my hair is green and patchy too.
