I've always wanted to get a hydrafacial done, so when I saw the Groupon for this package that included one hydrafacial with mask, LED light treatment and oxygen therapy for $50 I was sold.
Before I fill you in on my experience, let me start by saying that this location is a very small beauty mall (2-3 vendors at most) located on the second floor of a shopping center off of West Flagler Street. If you're familiar with the area, it's right across from the FIU engineering campus. The Groupon is misspelled as well, the vendor's name is Alesa Beauty Spa but the Groupon says "Aless Beauty Spa".
Anyway, the experience was OK. Because it is a very small beauty mall, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone's conversations right outside your treatment area. Alexandra is very nice and thorough with her treatment process, although she is very chatty. She booked the HydraFacial package for me and another client at the same time and had a full blown conversation on politics during my treatment. All in all, it was a very good treatment, but I prefer a quiet and relaxing spa environment and this was not what I experienced so I had to ask them if they can resume their conversation after my treatment was over.
The facility is clean and comfortable. Alexandra provides a very nice space for her spa services, I just wish the other vendors in the mall would ask their clients to be courteous and respectful of the fact it is a very small shared spa space and other clients may prefer peace and quiet to a rambunctious and lively conversation happening on the other side of the wall.
The HydraFacial package is well worth it. I desperately needed a facial and this was exactly what my skin needed. It's safe and nowhere near as invasive as other facials that include extractions and leave your face red and puffy. I will definitely have this treatment done again, just in a quieter and more relaxed setting. read more
