Great venue but ran horribly!! Pure chaos for beer, merch and food. They do not know how to direct traffic at all took 2 hours to get out of the parking lot. Read reviews saying the same thing from 5 years ago and it's clear nothing has changed. read more

Worst management of people during an event. Waited in line for 30 minutes to get a beer, waited in line for 45 minutes to buy a t-shirt, waited for 20 minutes to back out of a parking spot because someone can't direct traffic (GF Police). Sound quality sucks too. Working on 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot. These guys could take some lessons from the FargoDome. read more

The venue isn't bad, it's the people running it that are. Closed minds. Totally have no idea what they're doing, place needs real professionalism running it. Better actions taken and realize the citizens pay for this venue and their salaries. Why are they blocking citizens from their social media pages?!? Especially when we pay for this and it's the citizens who own this. Why are they blocking citizens of Grand Forks from leaving honest reviews, commenting their experience at this venue and so on. News can't hide the bad reviews. Time for new minds running this place starting at the top down! Let's get some professionals in there, who aren't bias or hating on citizens who pay their salaries. Don't be blocking people from the City Venue page from leaving comments, reviews and get people in there that can run the venue better and cheaper. read more

We went to see KISS at this location. Got there 45 minutes early to get a T-shirt and due to any type of management of people or staff, did not get to see the opening act David Lee Roth at all. This place is a joke. We go to 80+ concerts a year at different venues in different states. This is by far the worst venue EVER. I looked at their reviews after the show to see if it was a 1-off night for them....NOPE. Several reviews were about the same issues we had. I do not recommend them and I will never go to an event there again. read more

I've been here for a couple events now, its a pretty generic kind of convention center. I have not attended a football game, so I can't say a thing about that section of the center. This is strictly for the convention center part. The events I have gone to here run fairly smoothly & the staff is polite. Sometimes they take your plates/glasses before you want them too. I wish there were more locations of bathrooms and they would have more signage pointing you to where you need to go on arrival. It's not too big relative to other convention centers I have been to though, so even if you go the wrong way the right way isn't too far. read more

My daughter and I were at the Concert Saturday Night. The security staff evidently was there to watch the show and get paid. They were more worried about visiting with women then they were of helping my daughter who had a Grown Man take her beverage and twist her arm around her back. Yes I took a picture of the man who assaulted my daughter. There were other men who witnessed it. And provide details to the staff however there approach was not to get involved. Touching an individual in any unwanted manner is assault!!!! For the staff not to discuss the behavior or take action with the perpetrator shows me that they condone violence! I went thru the metal detector set it off and when I told them I have an artificial knee they said ok!!! Makes me wonder how serious they are about their patrons safety!!!! If management would like to discuss this with me I would appreciate the opportunity to voice my concerns! I called the Alerius this last Wednesday to discuss security and how upset I was. The night of the incident Shelby L gave my daughter a card and told her someone would be contacting her. Then when I called she said she would transfer me to head of security. I lit into the man and explained how frustrated I was to the gentleman. When I finished he said I am sorry you were transferred to head of concessions. No one has gotten back to me and I have not received any messages. Security is not their priority. I will wait for a call. read more
