The store is 2 stories and they sell everything from home goods, cards, gifts, clothes for the whole family and much more! As a creative person who studied fashion merchandising, their displays were everything to me. It reminded me a little of Anthropology, with more of a boho/hippy vibe. The whole store is extremely visually appealing and has a "hangout vibe". It is the perfect store for this area. It totally goes with the theme. The staff are super friendly and helpful too! Can't wait to go back!

We picked up a vest that was clearly marked at $160. When we went to pay, the cashier told my wife the price was actually $200. We understand that pricing mistakes can happen -- that wasn't the issue. What disappointed us was the attitude. Instead of explaining the situation kindly or apologizing for the confusion, the employee was dismissive and rude. Unfortunately, that interaction really affected our experience and made us reconsider returning. I hope management can address the customer service aspect, because the store carries great products and has a lot of potential.

I wore some new shoes which I bought to help with my bum leg\foot, so my limp and gait were more pronounced than usual. As I walk around, this middle age lady comes out the back, greets me and starting talking to the other older woman employee. Before you know, it I start hearing the younger woman suddenly start talking about her uncle who is disabled with a bad leg. She goes on to say that he was in discomfort for a long time, particulary his foot, but that it's all suddenly better now. I thought that was weird but as I kept listening, I noticed that she would say certain buzzwords like "I mean..." and "I don't know..." and "you know..." and "this guy..." Strangely, she said "this guy is so small" a few times while talking about an inventory item. Later she started telling the other woman that she had a near photographic memory. (She asked the woman to quiz her on the price of an item, which she got wrong 2 times and finally guessed correctly on the 3rd try which I thought was funny). Anyway, I soon realized that she is trying to fake synchronicity to lure the customer into making a purchase. Her MO became clear as day. She studies and watches the customers coming in and then begins a conversation with the other employees regarding something she notices (makes a read on) about the customer or perhaps overhears the customers talking about to make the customer think that the "coincidence" is a spiritual sign. The shop is clean and tidy, but it's mostly cheap mass produced art work or knick knacks that is marked up 500%. The older lady is actually very sweet and I get the feeling she just gets taken advantage of by the younger woman. Stay away from this fake Christian place! Even if Jesus came back and walked through the doors, that lady wouldn't recognize him and try to make a sale to him.

First off, this store has beautiful items available. I'm not a big home goods person, but as soon…read moreas I started scrolling through the website (which is very easy to navigate) I knew that I was going to have an incredible experience just browsing. In this particular day I was looking for a very last minute gift; a good quality matcha set. When I googled my options for same day pick up this store stood out to me. The set they had posted on the site looked beautiful. In addition to looks, the description said it was imported and handcrafted in Japan. There was a disclaimer about how the actual product in store might differ from site because all items were unique due to them being made to order by hand (to me that sounds like a great thing). I looked up the address and decided to take a forty minute trip. When I arrived at the store it was just as I suspected! I could not get my eyes off all their items. Rugs, jewelry, pillows, matcha sets, even the stuffed animals! Pricing is more than your typical run to a Target, but in my opinion you get what you pay for and these items were definitely worth their price. Their inventory very clearly reflects quality and are sure to be conversation starters for friends and family. Finally I made my decision on an incredible looking set and I approached Dean at the register (worker at that time). He was very kind and informative to whatever questions I had. He carefully packaged my item and even decorated the bag a bit since I mentioned to him I was going to be gifting the set. Soon after admiring all their items I was on my way home. Unfortunately things do happen and When I got back to my place I checked my email and I had one from Dean. He politely let me know that the spoon for the set had been left behind at the store. To be honest, I probably would have never even noticed this mishap, but he was upfront and honest about it. I told him that I had left the area already. He asked if I would like to have the item shipped, but then I reminded him that the set was going to be gifted that very same night. In order to save me the hassle of driving back Dean actually delivered the item to my place in Long Beach (from Newport!) after he got off work. I mean, wow, that speaks volumes about Dean. He was incredibly apologetic about everything the whole time and that meant a lot to me. Dean made the drive to me, we met up, he apologized again sincerely, and my gift was a huge success that evening. In this day and age costumer service has been in decline for a while. I notice this whenever I interact with anybody outside of home, but definitely not H+E Goods. This business is top notch from top to bottom. Even on their "bad" days they are leagues ahead of most businesses out there on their good days. H+E Goods, thank you for the amazing experience. Dean, if you read this, thanks so much once again for your time and I look forward to my next visit.

This place is full of treasures--textiles, rugs, ceramics, and all kinds of one-of-a-kind finds that bring warmth and style to any space. I've seen a lot of shops, but few match the level of taste and authenticity that H+E brings. The vibe is relaxed, the staff is welcoming, and everything feels curated with love and purpose. You won't just be buying decor--you'll be taking home a piece of culture and artistry. Highly recommend checking them out, either in-store or online!
