She is warm, easy to connect with and feel relaxed around. She has a very contagious laugh which I believe is a necessary asset in a photographer. She is great with kids and creative at keeping toddler's attentions. At a newborn session with my week old son, I wanted some bare bottomed pictures. As soon as his diaper came off he unloaded all over her. She didn't even bat an eye. Just chuckled, whipped out her own wipes and went right along with our session. She comes to each session with her own ideas but always asks us what our vision is. She is creative with her shots and editing but not so out there that it seems unrealistic. She captures moments that are unexpected. My little tot was not thrilled for one of our sessions. Older sister sat down next to him with a look on her face that could only be described as a preschooler eye roll at little brother's tantrum. Kari captured that moment and knew it would be a picture that would make us smile. She has sent us walking to our next shot location and stood behind to sneak photos of us walking and hand holding. Some of these informal pictures of our family are what we cherish the most. Kari actually cares deeply about her clients, which is why she has so many repeat clients who come back to her at their next phase of life. I also respect her as a photographer because she uses the talent she has to volunteer for some incredibly meaningful causes. I would recommend her without hesitation.

We came across Selfie Avenue randomly one weekend while grabbing boba in the area. Signs direct you to the side entrance of a nondescript commercial building, where on the second floor is the little photo business. Selfie Avenue not only has the popular Life4Cuts selfie Photo Booth, but also has a self-photo studio that can be booked in advance. They have a dressing room onsite for outfit changes, a vanity area for touch-ups and lots of fun props to choose from. It feels like it's been opened fairly recently as the establishment was clean and quiet when we visited. Selfie Avenue is open from Monday to Sunday, 11AM to 8PM, so pop on by for a few fun photos!

I rented an aerator and mentioned that I had never used one before. The staff did take a moment to explain how it works, which was helpful. I also asked at the front desk whether I should use a trailer to transport it, and was told it shouldn't be necessary since they could load it into my truck using their ramp. Three employees loaded the aerator into the bed of my truck (with a canopy), rolled it in, and we closed the tailgate. As I was slowly pulling out to get onto Highway 99, the machine rolled forward, breaking through the canopy glass and shattering the rear window of my truck. What's most frustrating is that no one mentioned that the aerator can freely roll or that it needs to be secured during transport. For someone who has never used this type of equipment, that's critical information. When I returned to the store, I was told, "it has wheels and it'll move," which came across as dismissive. The owner pointed to a sign stating they are not responsible for damage during loading. While I understand liability policies, this situation could have easily been prevented with a simple warning or basic guidance. I've been a long-time customer and regularly rent equipment here, which makes this especially disappointing. I expect better communication and care, especially when safety and potential damage are involved.

We couldn't be happier after working with Alexandra of AleLa Photography for a family photo session. She immediately put us all at ease and asked what we wanted out of the shoot. It felt like a fun morning of hanging out with someone that entertained our kids more than it did a portrait session where everyone is forced to smile and place their hands in odd positions over and over to get the perfect shot. We got great images of our children, infant and toddler, as well as beautiful pictures of our family.I loved every image that Alexandra captured and would use her again in a heartbeat! We had a great experience with Alexandra. She suggested a beautiful park that had several really pretty locations, and brought a fluffy blanket for my son to sit on. She spent about 90 minutes, and was fine with the several outfit changes I suggested. My 13 month old son was perfectly at ease with her immediately, and she got some really great, natural smiles and other expressions from him. I know she took at least 700 pictures, maybe more, and the 25 we got from her were all incredible, and wonderfully edited. It only took her a few days to get me the pictures after our session.
