Terrible experience with Kimberly from the floral department. I spoke to her twice over the phone and she seemed very helpful at first so I specifically wanted her to help me when I went into the store. I asked over the phone how much it would cost for me to bring my own bowl and her to make a moss bowl out of it, she said $175. I asked if there were cheaper options and she said she can use a "cheaper moss" and do it for $100. Drove all the way there, picked up my son early from school and was told "I didn't realize how big the bowl is" which is funny because I told her the exact dimensions. And then she said "I never said $100" she wanted to charge me $150. Terrible attitude; terrible service, and was told a lie. On top of that; I said can you at least do it for $120 since you did say $100 over the phone. She said "this is no bargain" in the rudest manner. Worst customer service from the front desk to both of the managers. I ordered and charged to my credit card, 2 boxes of replacement Christmas Tree Light bulbs for my Christmas tree that we bought at their store when we had to live in California due to a transfer. I placed the order on December 8th, 2023...and waited ...and waited...and waited, nothing. So I called on January 2nd and they returned my call, left a message that they forgot to mail them and were mailing them first thing in the morning. So I waited...and waited...and waited. Nothing. So I called today January 11th., again they forgot to mail them. Really??? How STUPID can an entire company be? I hope they know how to issue a refund that I have entrusted them to complete. You haven't heard of this sale?!?... We went to Aldik's for their day after Christmas & Holiday decor sale...oh boy was it a sale!! Pre-lit trees of all sizes, with multi-colored lights or solid , with snow dust or without, evergreen replicas of Douglas firs, Spruce & Ponderosa copied perfectly down to the littlest detail...really impressive artificials! Decors were also on sale big time! Items were 50% some up to 70%off! As someone who opts for simplicity, I stuck with the deep christmas red and gold balls, by next Christmas, my tree would probably look like a Christmas ball than a tree once I'm done decorating it with my stash from Aldik's after Christmas sale. What typically looks like an organized jungle of artificial flowers, plants & trees became a little winter wonderland even for a short time. Friendly staff and good assortment of products..I like this store :) Words of caution though; parking is very tight and lots of little ole ladies pushing those shopping carts as if they're on a race---don't get run over *grin* read more

This place is off the chain! Wow! My wife took us here on an outing and I have to say it was well worth the trek up the 405. Never imagined how big this place would be - and filled with EXTRAORDINARY Christmas ornaments and accoutrements not to mention the best assortment of artificial trees, wreaths and garlands I have ever seen. So think of it this way- when you were a kid - if you LOVED driving around and looking at houses decorated for Christmas - then this store is for you! This week I and several of my friends visited Aldik. I had never been there and the recommendations were very high. But.....they pretty much proved to us that the walk-in retail trade is of absolutely no interest. I find this odd because the staff have no clue what potential business the walk-in trade may bring. Our particular experience was at check-out. The young woman at the register made no eye contact, ok she may be shy, did not respond to any questions, and left the cash register for a minute or two when she was done ringing up, BUT, not saying anything or explaining what was happening. When she finally returned we asked if I should put my card in, no response, another woman with me asked her loudly if she had pushed the button on her end so the reader would accept my card (I had already tried several times). She says nothing, we are looking at her, maybe 20 seconds later she rudely says she had already done it. Ok, maybe she is having a bad day, maybe she hates her job.... We then ask her THREE times how long AFTER Christmas the decorations will be up and available. No response, won't even look at us. My friend again loudly asks if anyone is going to answer our question. Another staff member says something, but not an answer to our question, which we had to ask a 4th time. Three of the four of us have; own retail at this time, owned retail in the past, or worked retail. Unacceptable customer service. Wow, we will not be back under any circumstances. read more

I would give this place a 10 star rating if I could, even if the parking is limited. But the rating is strictly on the amazing endless Christmas decor they have. I've been coming here for years but never really reviewed it, so I thought I would take the time to tell you a little about it. Short, tall, flocked, skinny, wide. Garlands galore, a large selection of tree filler like bejeweled magnolia flowers, tons of gold and silver tassels, huge selection of ribbons. Literally packed wall to wall with some of the most stunning trees and lighting options as well as layers of ornaments, display items and some grandiose nick-knacks. My mom and I went into this store super excited to be here for the first time and shop for my very first Christmas in my new home. Everyone gave the best customer service except for that one TALL annoying man with GREY HAIR who ruined it for everyone. might have been the manager. Horrible decision to make someone like that a manager. First of all the moment he saw us he's been following us around as if we we're thieves.... felt totally uncomfortable to be there. Ruined the entire experience. We were so excited we didn't know which ornaments to buy everything was beautiful left and right... I kept picking things up showing my mom in excitement and putting it down. my mom may have placed some ornaments in the wrong places when we decided one over the other, this man came up to my mom and literally yelled at her with his obnoxious loud irritating voice. The entire store was looking at my mom and made my mom feel so terrible. It was so embarrassing and she was humiliated. I hate to say it but It's your freaking job! What do you want to do stand around and get paid? It took every strength in my body to stop myself from cussing that mans life out. He could have nicely asked her and she would've understood. I don't care what happens you never treat a customer that way. I will never be returning to this store again and neither will my huge family who spend thousands of dollars here every year. I also asked questions, and not at all vendor friendly. Wholesale paid same as retail customers buying onesee-twosees during "sale". ( 30% of of probably a 6x+ markup). AMAZING customer service!!! I purchased a beautiful Christmas tree from Aldik about six years ago. When I tried to set it up last week, I just couldn't get it working. I figured that since it was six years old and two years past the warranty, it was time to buy a new tree. My son and I went into Aldik, and as we were ready to make the purchase, I ran into Larry, the owner, and told him the story. He said to bring the tree in, and they would see if they could get it working, even though it was past the warranty. I brought it in that afternoon, and Larry and his son, Brian worked on it for an hour, replacing close to a hundred bulbs, and the tree is just as beautiful as when it was new. I asked him what I owed him, and he said not to worry about it. Now, that's GREAT customer service! I was already a yearly customer, but now they've got me for life. So many more businesses could take a lesson from Aldik. read more

I have been looking forward to go to this place! I buy Xmas ornaments here every year and have always been treated with respect, tonight we made it a family event to go purchase a new Xmas tree, and we needed some more ornaments and I really like the glass green ones but they didn't have many and the few they had in a basket were dirty and scratched, I told my husband to please go to the register and ask if these can and how can the be cleaned, Well guess what the woman at the register gave my husband a bottle of windex and paper and told him to clean it himself!!! WTH!! Aren't you woman at the register getting paid to work there? I grabbed about 8 medium ones and 8 large ones, when I got to the register, I asked if she can clean them for me bc there were very dirty and she didn't really want to do it! Unbelievable!!! To the owner/manager rewind your video, we were there about 6:50-7:00 pm, you will see my husband walk to the register and you will see how she hands him the windex bottle and you will see me with my cart going up to her and her not wanting to clean them for me, so I just left them and walked out!! You need to talk to these women working there doing nothing just talking and they don't care to help you. There are those of us in this world who were born with a green thumb. Then there are those of us who were born with a thumb up our as...okay, well you get the idea. I happen to be of the thumb up the bum variety when it comes to keeping little green friends alive. I have tried, believe me. I water them (usually too much), talk to them (that would kill anyone) and try to let them bask in the happy glow of my kitchen window sill (yeah, that view of the back garage is a real picture, lady), but they always seem to die. Well, I'm sick of it and I have a kitchen that needs cute flowers in the window sill in order to look cute and vintagey and so today I cracked and hit Aldik. My parents have been coming here since as far back as I can remember and have filled our house with "fake" plants that are gorgeous. Now before you picture some really creepy old lady house with plastic flowers that stinks of potpourri, just delete that imagery and picture more of the "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" variety. You cannot tell these plants are fake. They are so realistic looking and they have fooled many! So with that in mind, I ventured here today to see if I could find some good knockoffs for the kitchen and I am happy to report success! How do I know? Because as soon as those puppies went up in the window, who was up on the counter? That's right, my cat, eating them just as she would, real plants. And so, this can only mean one of two things. They look totally real or my cat may very well be retarded. Hmmm.... Anyhoo, if you need silk flowers or plants, come here. They specialize in the really big trees and what not and the selection is probably about 10% pricier than say, Michael's, but for the variety and selection, I feel you are definitely getting what you pay for. Hands down Aldik is my favorite place to shop for My Christmas stuff. I'm totally obsessed with their selection and each year they don't seize to amaze. They have a beautiful selection of Xmas trees. I got my tree from Aldik and year ago and I'm very happy with the quality. I also get my ornaments each year from Aldik as well. The prices are decent since they always start with 20% off then it becomes either 25 or 30% off after Thanksgiving. However, you don't want to wait until after thanksgiving as some of their stuff may sold out. Overall the prices vary depending on the quality of the ornaments. It is not cheap but their stuff is gorgeous. Also their ribbon selection is amazing which you don't find at Micheals or Hobby Lobby and Joann's. Looking forward to new stuff each year and every time when I visit it is indeed The Most Wonderful Time of the Year :) read more

recently got married, and decided to go with silk flowers for my wedding party. We love their trees and dont even get me started on their christmas stuff...its a family tradtion! I didnt know that they did weddings but after going and mentioning it to them they did more than an amazing job!! Kim, the desginer, was soooo nice and just has a real gift for arrangements. I printed out pictures of how I wanted my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets, as well as the the boutonnieres and corsages for mom and grandmas. I gave the pictures to Kim and she did an amazing job. We got to pick out the colors and flowers that looked best and she just did her thing.The bouquets looked so beautiful and real, even the florist we hired for our centerpieces was shocked when I told her they were silk. The best thing was what the photographer said "you should put all the flowers in water so they dont wilt"!! ;) I couldn't be happier with the way the flowers turned out, especially my bouquet. It far exceeded my expectations, and I get to keep it as a beautiful keepsake of my wedding. Aldik was the best decision I made. It was totally worth it!! If you can't keep a pet plant for the life of you, come here. Even if you and plants are friends, like me, come here. My godmother recently gifted our house with this beautiful orchid arrangement and after three months, the buds went through their life cycle! I'm not a faux flower expert but I definitely am a feeler. I love to be tactile and I've never touched more real feeling flowers in my life. I'm staring at the arrangement now and I was almost compelled to water it. Or at least adhere to the old adage, the customer is always right. This is my second Yelp! review ever and that's because of how unhappy I was with the way I was treated.
