She read good things and the hours were perfect for us to stop in on a beautiful Saturday morning in August. They are open every Saturday morning, April through December from 8am-12pm. We arrived about 10am and it was very busy. The main parking lot was full and there was a small line of cars trying to find parking spots. We continued on to the overflow parking area closer to the river bank and there was plenty of parking available. We walked up to the location of the market which is a covered area providing shelter from inclement weather and the hot summer sun. The variety of the different booths is diverse. Everything from fresh vegetables, canned salsas, jams and jellies, baked goods, pottery, frozen meat, and fresh flower bouquets. We enjoyed seeing all the various items and ultimately bought a package of six S'mores cookies which were incredibly delicious! It's been quite some time since we've been to a farmers market and this is a great one. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

They deliver the produce in a reusable bag on my doorstep. They are SO communicative. Each week, they post what is coming for that week so you have an idea of what to expect. You can fill out a 'do not send' list online if there is anything you don't like, and you can update it at any time. They also have fresh eggs you can add, as well as other add ons from local companies. You can change your preferences at any time, including how frequently they come (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly). All the produce is organic and it's all been delicious! It lasts so long as well. If you have an issue with something being fresh, their costumer service is great. The portion sizes are great as well. I've been very pleased and would highly recommend their delivery service!

There were other vendors too. Not sure if they are there every time or if they rotate. But there was also a gluten free bread stand and flower stand. I got a bouquet of fresh flowers for $10. The bouquet were huge and beautiful! All the vendors take cash and credit cards (swipe on their phone). Some might charge you a small fee if you pay with credit cards (maybe .40 cents). Well worth the trip!

The Stewart's say "they are looking forward to the new season with our new neighbors". The market runs from April through November and serves the citizens of Waxhaw, Weddington, Marvin and the surrounding communities. Customers come from Charlotte for many of the unique and delicious items available. The hours will remain the same, from 9 am till 1 pm on Saturdays and on Tuesdays from 3 pm to 6 pm. The market features naturally grown local produce, cut flowers, vegetable and flower plants, goat cheese, fresh farm eggs, herbs, local honey, fresh baked bread, cakes, cookies, muffins, granola bars, homemade dog treats, homemade goat milk soap, and so much more! With the exception of the flower people (they rarely last more than 5 days), all items have been wonderful. Produce prices can't be beat, and much of the food is wonderful. I'm partial to Heavenly Muffins (she's a neighbor of mine), but that aside they truly are deliciously 'Heavenly.' We came to the pumpkin patch! They have a large parking lot and it was easy to find…read more It's a $3 fee for everyone above 2 years old and you need a reservation. Although, it was easy to make a reservation and there were a lot of time slots to choose from. This included seeing the animals (goats, pigs and bunnies), walking in the flower fields (a sunflower field and colorful flowers), the playground and taking photos. The playground really was not much and I think older kids would've gotten bored easily. For an extra fee, there is a corn pit to play in, a wagon ride and a train ride for kids. We did not do these. There wasn't a ton of places for photo ops, but there were some. They have a shop with goods for sale as well as some snacks and drinks like apple cider, slushies, apple cider donuts, alcohol, etc. We went the weekend after Halloween, so there weren't many pumpkins to see/choose from, but if we went earlier in the season I'm guessing there would have been. On the opposite side of the property, there was a Thai restaurant and a shop that served ice cream and alcohol. There were plenty of picnic tables and even a couple TV's showing football. This was a bit of a walk to get to, though. They also have pizza which you have to order ahead of time with your reservation if interested, but I've heard great things about the pizza. Keep in mind it is only porta johns, like many pumpkin patches. All in all, not my favorite pumpkin patch in the area, I questioned why we needed a reservation and to pay, it really didn't include much, but I'm wondering if we would've had a different experience if we went earlier in the season.

Who does that?! Sprouts does! Again, just really love the staff and I found wild caught frozen halibut so that I could make it at home! I did take pictures of the homemade jalapeño focaccia bread, and it is phenomenal! This is also the only local grocery store where I could find organic sourdough bread and they have different flavors! If you're in Ballantyne, give them a shot. It is absolutely worth it in my experience and opinion. Oh, and I edited this to add that you could find some really great sweet treats! They have chocolate from Dubai and I love their organic dark chocolate with a hint of salt. There are tons of gluten-free options from pasta to bread and crackers. You name it. They also have a couple of aisles of health items and really great dog treats as well.
