Produce was fresh, flowers were fresh. The customers can be a little overly-hurried, especially in the parking lot. I'm not telling you anything you dont know. I said coffee. It surprises me that there is not a whole lot of variety in sourcing and roast-styles. This Joe's has a small coffee section in the back left corner, around 40 options. Somehow the selection seemed rather sparse. Maybe they've been outdone by local roasters. Poor me, right? Well, I saw two dark roasts, and I grabbed 100% Trader-Joe's-brand arabica French roast whole beans. At home, they looked gorgeously shiny and the aroma was rich. They tasted quite good! Fresh and bold without excess acid or bitterness. Ok, Joe's, well-done. We headed for the wine corner, and were rewarded with tiny samples of a smooth whiskey and a fresh nut-mix, offered by a bold fellow with a short distinctively-curly mustache. We scanned the wines and got an inexpensive $5.50 Espiral Portuguese Vinho Verde, a very-light slightly-sparkling slightly-sweet white wine. Typically it's thought of as a summer wine to drink chilled for any non-serious pairing with non-serious food. We like it because, as long as it's not flat and not a noticeably sour brand, vinho verde is a nice year-round evening-blurry treat. And we got some mixed-flowers for a bright reminder of a pleasant shopping experience.

The girl who waited on me was very SWEET and engaging. Which is ALWAYS AWESOME I decided to get a meal. I went with the eggplant, super salad, and the German potato salad. I ended up eating it last night. It was very delicious INDEED. Before I cashed out. I decided to go back to a bakery. Where the bulk cookies are. I bought some more raspberry Linzer cookies. Along with some wedding. cookies. They were so delicious as ALWAYS Enough so I ended up having to eat a cookie when I got to the car:) The ambiance in the store was very mellow. Nothing chaotic like the bigger stores can be. It was also a win-win. Because, I stayed under $15. Last March I spent twice that. But, it was worth penny I spent. Thanks, again Fresh Market. Needless to say, I went and purchased pre-packaged deli cheese, paid for my groceries and left. Is using the phrase "I will be with you in a moment" an excuse for poor customer service? Is ignoring customers especially when there is no other customers waiting a part of the Publix Deli's customer service? You do not use "I will be with you in a moment" as an excuse to ignore your customers.

Almost three years later and still the absolute worst customer service from the Deli counter. I went there around 9pm on a Thursday evening and while cruising past the deli counter I noticed there was only one person in line waiting to get a sub and I thought, ok maybe I'll give this store's deli counter another chance and see if the service was any better. Nope. It might've actually gotten worse. There were two people behind the counter both of whom seemed quite occupied making subs, only one of which was making a sub for the one person standing in line ahead of me. During the 7 minutes of waiting in line, I made eye contact with at least three other employees who were also walking around behind the counter without a care in the world that I was waiting to be helped. I gave up waiting and proceeded to complain to the on-duty store manager, Tammy, who was incredibly polite and even offered to go back there and make it herself. She also advised me that this is not the first time she's heard complaints about that department. I told her I was one of them but that it had been several years and clearly nothing has been done to improve the service. Everything else about this store is on point. Forget the deli though.
