I made my way to the deli counter & a gentleman who appeared to be the owner greeted me and offered to answer any questions. He even walked me through their digital ordering monitor when I obliviously did not realize it was just to my right. I ended up ordering a BLT on rye per his recommendation. As I waited just a few minutes for my sandwich, there were kids playing and running inside and out, seemingly asking their parents for pocket change to get treats. The gentleman and woman behind the counter paid no mind, and even welcomed them inside with a smile. There were also two young children helping out who I presume to be their parents, the owners. One of the children brought me out my bag saying "I think this must be yours, here you go" & I said "Yes it is! Thank you very much. Have a good evening." and the echos of multiple goodbyes from the kids ushered me outside. I tried the sandwich in my car before heading off to my next stop, and was happily surprised. It was a solid BLT. Better than many I've had at other delis & sandwich shops. Everything was very fresh & the sandwich held together well thanks to the parchment wrap. They even threw in a pickle spear, neatly wrapped, which as a self-proclaimed pickle connoisseur I was very please with. The matcha flavor is very strong and it tastes like you're biting into a block of matcha but with the consistency of chocolate. The store is a little tight especially when you're sharing the aisles with other people. My understanding is that the S.mart directly next door is owned by the same family and is a store specializing in skincare. They share the same name but sell different items.
