I put the walker in the Car, then go back in and shop. This is between 2 and 4 a.m. when I check out, I drive the scootercart out to my car, then load my groceries. They have a sign about no scootercarts are to be taken outside. I think that's Utterly Ridiculous! I'm not about to reload all my groceries into a normal cart, just to go a short distance out to the Car. If you can take a regular cart outside, why can't I ask a disabled person take a scootercart outside? Other stores have a distance limit on theirs so you can't go too far outside. And the same people who collect the carts can surely ride the scootercart back inside. I did ask the checkout lady since I was parked in the very first spot next to the door, if I could take it outside to load my groceries. She had an attitude, but said ok. That's the Only problem with Woodman's. I shop early morning bcuz there's not a lot of other shoppers.

Although this is a bit far from my home, it's conveniently located near my work so I can pick up items after work. The liquor department is probably one of the biggest I've ever seen with many allocated items behind the counter and occasional raffles for the more rare allocations. The carts are big and noisy but I'll use the "small" ones if I can find one. The store can be overwhelming the first couple of times but eventually you get used to the layout. Woodmans is always busy but with the selection and prices, it's easy to see why. And even with the amount of product and people that pass through here, it's well kept and clean. My favorite departments are probably the huge produce and dairy department. Woodman's will continue to be a place I stop at for groceries and other goodies!

Sometimes I'll have to wait (for what seems like a long time) at the self check-out kiosk which then defeats the whole purpose of using self check-out. But otherwise they are friendly and helpful. One of the highlights is the international food section, which adorably groups items by city (Tel Aviv, London, etc.). There's also a dedicated section for vegan snack foods! The prices are pretty typical for PNS, but on the plus side, the sales can be pretty decent. My one sticking point for the rest of the chain (in addition to the sticky floors and crumbling buildings) is the atrocious service. I haven't experienced that here. Although the service isn't anything to write home about, the staff has been pretty efficient and pleasant, and the lines seem to move fast enough. I would love to see self-checkout lines, however.

Appearance wise, my only real complaint is the squares have a somewhat anemic appearance as if they're too light in color. I was in the area and needed a few items so I stopped by because that farm store that I went to first had a horrendous line for checkout because one maybe two registers were open so we dumped the cart and walked out. The store must be one of the newer ones because the layout is not like the older ones because the health section is not on an outer edge close to the doors but in an inner/center place in the store so I walked the whole perimeter of the store and I didn't find it. The store is your typical Walmart with all the departments like bakery, deli, food store, pharmacy etc etc. As with most stores during the virus situation shelf's were empty/spotty with paper and cleaning products being scarce and no hand sanitizer or bleach wipes. I had no issue with the store giving the situation and I would continue shopping while in the area.

Highlights: the shish tawook was perfect, juicy, not over cooked, the kafta loaded with flavors, the hummus was solid, I loved the bed of rice it was on, and the soup delicious... "so T, what happened to the half star?" This is where I might be overly critical... the chopped veggie salad was in dire need of salt, or consider dressing it with the jalapeño mix that was on the hummus. The Turkish salad put me in quite a conundrum... was it delicious? Oh hell ya, was it spicy? Yes (inject it my veins), so what's the issue? My issue here was just that it wasn't a salad. It was an excellent salsa, but I didn't have chips to eat it with and this isn't a "salad" you can eat by itself. If they had fried the Arabic bread and seasoned it like the fattoush chips and gave me a bag of it with the Turkish salad that might be the greatest combo known to Milwaukee. Finally, the only true criticism of this place, the beef kabobs... flavor was amazing, it was tender too but it was severely overcooked. I don't blame the restaurant because as an Lebanese person I grew up with way too many over cooked bbqs and aunts and uncles thinking red meat was blood despite eating kibbee nayee (beef tartar-Lebanese style) but if that had two minutes less on the grill it might have the holy grail of mixed grill plates.
