Although this is a bit far from my home, it's conveniently located near my work so I can pick up items after work. The liquor department is probably one of the biggest I've ever seen with many allocated items behind the counter and occasional raffles for the more rare allocations. The carts are big and noisy but I'll use the "small" ones if I can find one. The store can be overwhelming the first couple of times but eventually you get used to the layout. Woodmans is always busy but with the selection and prices, it's easy to see why. And even with the amount of product and people that pass through here, it's well kept and clean. My favorite departments are probably the huge produce and dairy department. Woodman's will continue to be a place I stop at for groceries and other goodies!

An employee said they just put in their 2-week notice because they're constantly having to deal with the broken machines and angry customers. Another issue is the app only has the correct aisle location for items about 50% of the time yet the store is always making announcements about using the app to find items.

I called the store today and asked to speak with the manager. First, the lady did not identify herself, and was very rude sounding. Apparently she was the assistant manager, April. Based on her conversation, and the lack of concern in my issue, I will shop somewhere else for a while. I called to express my concerns about the pickup (only in evening/ night) not doing things properly, her response, "Well, i don't know. I will let corporate know." Buying natural and organic is possible at conventional grocery stores and box chains, but I often find out of date products and a limited selection. That is not the case at Outpost. The products are handpicked and there are real relationships between Outpost and many of the vendors. There is nowhere to get a better selection of local products. So many are from Midwest or Wisconsin vendors, which means direct support for regional and Wisconsin businesses - plus Outpost itself is a Milwaukee business. Finding truly natural and organic prepared foods is not easy, but Outpost has a huge selection of deli salads, cut fruit, veg, cheese, sandwiches, soups, and cooked dinners - all made with mostly organic ingredients. I'm not sure where else in Milwaukee you can find a salad bar, a hot bar, and a juice bar with mostly organic ingredients. I will always recommend Outpost to family and friends.

As the conversation went on she became a bit more friendly. Husband went to pick up the package and said they weren't very warm and friendly to him either. Husband said the place was clean and reminded him of the up north butcher shops we used to frequent before they closed down after COVID. The meat we have tried so far has been really good quality and very flavorful. The cuts have been generous as well.
