I highly recommend State Farmers Market if you are looking for great down home dishes!!!

While visiting Fort Meyers for the first time, it was recommended that we go to Buckingham Farms…read morefor breakfast. We were excited to try it based on their website, reviews, and the recommendation. Upon entering you can pick up a menu or look at the menu board. There is no table service. Once you place your order you can sit down at a table and wait for your pager to go off. When your pager goes off you have to go to the back of the restaurant to get your utensils. The utensils are plastic that are dispensed. The coffee cups are made of Styrofoam, surprising since this is promoted as a"farm to table" restaurant. You can dispense your own coffee and pick up non refrigerated packaged creamers. No fresh milk or creamer offered. Again surprising. My wife asked a food preparer if she could have some fresh milk for her coffee. It was provided in a plastic container. I ordered an egg, cheese, and bacon on a biscuit. I didn't see any other type of bread offered. My wife ordered the waffle making a point for it to be prepared plain. Our pagers went off and we went to pick up our food. The waffles my wife ordered plain had some kind of cream on it. The server said she didn't see any note about it being prepared plain. She took it back to remake it and brought it out to our table. The coffee was very weak and not very good. My wife threw hers out. Her waffle was tasteless. She took a couple of bites and threw it out as well. My biscuit sandwich was also very disappointing. The biscuit was dry and hard, the texture of the bacon was like shoe leather. We could not understand why this restaurant was as busy as it was. The only thing we could think of, was that it's the only place around. We left and drove 20 minutes to a Bakery/Cafe where they served good coffee, bread, and pastries.

Parking wasn't bad and if you're looking for a souvenir from Florida then this is the place to go and you can definitely spot where you are by driving down the road and seeing a big metal orange. This place is full of souvenirs to potentially bring back: spices salt, and pepper, shakers, alligator jerky, Florida, popcorn, coconut candies, etc. I love that you can have samples of the juices before buying. They even had some salsa and chip samples. They are shown to have a coupon in the touristy maps and guides. One where you can use to actually get a discount on your ice cream. I ordered the dreamsicle which is the most popular, but I didn't have a chance to look at the sizes and after ordering realized that the lady, I just put me in for the regular size which was too much sugar for me. If it does, though she was kind of rushing me which I didn't love. Also, if you're wanting to use the coupon, you have to have your own copy and cut it out/rip it out. And it's also one per order. I also ordered the Keylime pie. I like the filling. It had a very much coconut flavor probably because they use more coconut milk, but their crust on it was not very good. The cream score was actually pretty good. It was a hot day so it melted pretty quickly, but I liked the orange thing that it had and balanced with the vanilla.

....18 September 2026 …read more.... My friend and I stopped by the Walker ( Honey ) Farm to purchase some honey for his return trip to Tallahassee. My friend is a former resident of Fort Myers and is familiar with the Walker Farm. This was my first visit. My friend made his purchase and , not knowing there are various flavors of honey until now , I decided to try some. I tried the Black Mangrove honey and the Orange Blossom honey. There are other flavors but I liked the Black Mangrove and purchased a small bottle for $27.50 There are larger bottles for $50.00. The Bees are on site and the honey is produced and sold there in a little rickety wooden frame house. The owner Buddy Walker , a cantankerous BUT pleasant young fellow , ( he's 82 ) greeted us as we entered the store. I admired the beautiful Palm Tree in front of the store and asked Buddy what was the name of that Palm Tree. He said he didn't know. As we were pulling out of the lot to leave, Buddy came running out to tell us that he checked and discovered the name of the Palm tree is Bismarck. Now that I know there are various flavors of honey I will return and maybe try another flavor. Can't wait to try this Black Mangrove in my Green Tea. See ya later Buddy

I appreciate the pharmacy, the staff is helpful, the store is clean and well-maintained ... but there are things I notice that will take getting used to: *** In GA, you can buy one of their BOGO deals and pay half price. Makes you think twice about your purchase, i.e. 'will I really use two containers of strawberries before they go bad?!' *** There aren't enough cart corrals here. Buggies are left willy-nilly in the parking lot. People are too lazy to wheel them to designated areas where they won't conceivably damage parked cars. While the store can't do anything about that, they CAN send staff out regularly to collect runaway buggies. (They do it in GA!)

This store is beautiful, it's laid out so you can find products easily. The staff was super helpful. Then we made the mistake of going to the service desk where they have multiple cashiers but only one designated for "lottery". We had the misfortune of getting behind someone who literally put money on every game in every combination possible, multiple times . The line got super backed up and one person actually got out of line because of the wait. Call me crazy but if I was this invested , I'd be in Vegas not in Publix... Maybe they need a second line for high roller lottery players and delusional people like me that spend 10.00 and are happy to win 2.00.
