I've been coming to this Aldi since it opened YEARS ago, and I should've written a positive review much sooner. Today, I shopped for frozen and meats at my favorite store before going to pick up the kids from nana and pop pops house. Well, I ended up locking my purse (with phone), groceries, and keys in the car with a turned ON ignition. How my car locks with the ignition on is beyond me! George, who was a shift manager I believe, allowed me to use his personal phone and stood with me for 30 minutes in the parking lot as I frantically tried to go through the ropes with AAA and my husband. He was so patient and kind to me, while I was so nervous and disheveled. It was dusk and it was starting to get chilly, so I wasn't prepared for the shift of temperature. The one staff member was leaving for the day and she asked if I was going to be OK, if I needed anything. A fellow shopper came up to me and asked if she could give me a ride anywhere, close by to family or friends so I wasn't stuck for hours outside. I ended up waiting 2 hours for AAA to arrive (which was 2 hours earlier than estimated, so THANK GOD) and then George replaced my kids' frozen ice cream sandwiches. I LOVE THIS ALDI SO MUCH. If I move, I will go out of my way to come here unless it requires a flight. They are the Chick Fil A of grocery stores. Hope this review helps you decide. ..... Hey! What are you still doing here? My BFF had mentioned Aldi numerous times over the years, but I never went it. I'm not a brand snob, but I was certainly skeptical. I finally gave it a shot and I never looked back. For Aldi newbies here's some information for you: 1. Bring your own bags or pay .10 per bag, 2. Bring a quarter to get a cart. You get it back when you return it to the corral. 3. They take cash and debit, so leave the credit card at home. 4. You bag your own stuff 5. Just because it was there last week, doesn't mean it will be there the next. The store is primarily generic, but there is some name brand items sprinkled throughout. The quality of the food is great. The produce section is decent and quality is high. You save some good money. I typically save $10-$20 per visit. Don't expect to get everything on your list, because the selection is limited. But it's worth having to go to two stores and save the money. Aldi is a part of my weekly shopping. I usually go there first and get everything I can and then head to my 2nd store. I highly recommend giving Aldi a shot. read more

They redid this aldi and it's amazing. The cleanest most organized aldi I have ever been in. I truly enjoy going each week !

If you dint mind eating non brand food items and want to cut your food bill in half or more this is the place to shop. You have to pay a quarter for a shopping cart but when you return it you get your quarter back. Also paper bags are 6¢ and plastic bags are 10¢. Some of the non brand food items taste better than the brand named items to me. read more

YES. Favorite grocery store, hands down. I have generalized anxiety disorder and grocery shopping is a big challenge for me. I don't like the large size of typical stores because aside from being generally exhausting, its easy for me to get overwhelmed and forget things. The crowds and narrow aisles are no party, either. Aldi is a small store. The aisles are wide and the other shoppers are not as numerous as in other stores. Everything is easy to find because the store is small! Although the produce section is a bit underwhelming, they have all the essentials. I love that I do not get overwhelmed by choices. Honestly, I don't need to choose between six different brands of protein bars. I just want to get in, get my stuff, and get out. They even have a small section (very very small) of health and beauty items. The first time I went here I was honestly blown away. It's one quarter the size of a traditional grocery store, and yet I left with everything I needed. They even sell lactose free milk. Yay. Yes, you should bring your own bags. You will not get to bring your cart to your car but the reusable bags they sell here are ENORMOUS and there is a long counter by the door where you can bag your groceries after checking out. They don't take credit, but I don't have a credit card so that is not an issue for me. As a final note, the prices here are great. Yay Aldi. read more

This is an interesting grocery store. I had never been before, but knew it was pretty much all off-brand items. Upon going in, I couldn't figure out how to get a shopping cart. Nothing there to indicate you have to pay for them. Only a quarter, but I had no idea, and nothing tells you this. SO instead, I was outside trying to wrestle a cart off of the line. Inside, the food was interesting and diverse. Lots of selection, with a few name brands thrown in here and there. We found everything we were looking for, and the produce looked really fresh. Great choices. There are no bags at checkout, you will have to pay for those. 6 cents for a paper bag and 10 cents for a plastic bag. These are clearly marked at checkout. Upon paying, our card was having problems, until the girl notified us that they only take debit. Again... would have been nice to have been notified of this before getting all the way to the end of checkout. What is this was the only payment method I would have had with me? Overall, a decent shopping experience, but some minor irritations that could have been avoided with clear signage. read more

I love Aldi! Amazing deals on everything, and for the health-conscious folk, you won't find better prices for almond milk, organic eggs, organic/cage-free meats, whole wheat pastas, brown rice and quinoa, organic fruits and veggies, etc. Lots of gluten-free options too for those who want/need it. You can find really fun, random stuff there, too: we got these awesome collapsible plush chairs, and even bought a grill there! The selection isn't as great as a traditional supermarket, but it's great for staples. Get the knockoff Girl Scout cookies and Choceur chocolate - you won't be disappointed. read more

Very happy with this store. The prices are very reasonable and you can find most of what you need for a weekly trip. Surprisingly the red/green grapes were the best I have had so far this year and at a great price. Love their healthier snack section as well! This rating is for the way Aldi trains their cashier's. They are so rushed that your food is all but thrown in the cart! Sometimes I stop the process to fix my food. Really bad when a gallon of milk was put into my cart upside down! Products are great and so is the staff. The problem is management timing the cashier's for checking out!! read more

This is my favorite grocery store. Owned by the same parent company that owns Trader Joes. Very good quality. I love their organic coconut oil, organic superfood greek yogurt, produce deals, german dark chocolate, bacon wrapped fillets, tomato paste, kefir, muesli, all of their cereals are good and inexpensive, kids snack foods, cheeses, nuts, and fit and active products. Why sift though long aisles with endless brands of every product like you do at other grocery stores? This place keeps it simple, small, no frills, great quality products with low prices. You can bring your own bags, but I just grab empty boxes when I'm there (same thing they do at Costco) instead. read more

You have to bring your own bags, otherwise pay for them. You have to put in quarter to get a cart, but you get it back when you return the cart. Butter is 1.99 or less, eggs are .89 a carton, tortilla chips 1.19 a bag, bag of oranges for 1.99, cream cheese .89, block of cheese 1.50, pre sliced cheese 1.79, I could go on and on, the prices are unbelievable and the food is good and fresh. Also have a great variety of German foods, pfeffernusse, seeded rye, spaetzle noodles, European chocolate, etc. The one thing I would steer clear of though is most of the boxed food, but that's just not my thing I guess. Also can't get all your groceries here, just certain things for amazing prices. This location is one of the largest I've seen and definitely one of the safest locations they have. read more

I am still skeptical with some Aldi products. But, some stuff you just can't beat the price. Bananas was very cheap .29 per lb, but it went up since I went last time. I really don't have any particular item that I must get. But, I like browsing the isle. Produce are ok. I rather go to Trader Joe's or wegmans for them. Due to being unemployed thanks to the current regime, I have had to start shopping at Aldi's on Trooper Road. Prices are good and no problem with the refundable quarter for the shopping cart, bring your own bags, and no credit cards. Plus the employees are much more efficient and friendlier than the drones at the nearby Giant. The check out line moves quickly, parking is good, and the area is relatively safe. Fruits and veggies are often not the freshest or highest quality but the price is right. Milk usually has a shorter expiration date. The coffee is lousy. Also, many fruits and vegetables are often out of stock later in the day. However, check the origin of frozen food products like fish, strawberries, and blueberries. Many come from CHINA, even some of the "organic" ones. Sorry, but I'm not buying food from the Chi-Comms. Aldi's should stop selling these products. Also, the connection to Trader Joe's, while true, is very distant. read more

Oh, Aldi, how I love thee. My co-workers and family are getting sick of my Aldi evangelizing so I'll do it here. Now, look, I love the likes of Wegman's and I still go - but that's a different experience entirely (I put my older kid in the child watch, grab a coffee, pursue the produce...). Aldi is a different kind of beast: it's utilitarian (you're not going to decide between 10 different artisan loaves with latte in hand) but Aldi has 75% of the groceries you need for the week for almost, what, 40% less? The food is GOOD: the (European) chocolate, wide range of nuts, cheap organic lettuce, Greek yogurt, berries (we stock up on them here), avocados, canned beans and staples, baking supplies, array of cheeses, and yes, even some artisan loaves (love the ciabatta rolls!). There have been a few duds: fresh salsa and some frozen seasoned chicken breasts come to mind, but they're few and far between. The employees are always so kind, too, and hey, now they accept credit cards (reward points!). The rotating specials keep the experience interesting - for example, we always stock up on the muesli during "German Week". Just remember to bring your quarter for the carts! read more
