There's a new Aldi in northwest Munich! It's a really good one too. Here's the deets:
1) Easy to reach with the 63 Bus, this Aldi is in the lower level of the new "Forum" shopping centre at the north end of the Friendheimer Brücke.
2) There is a parking garage for those of you who drive.
3) The store is really large. While the selection is pretty standard for all Aldi locations, the fact that they have space means they are less likely to be out of whatever you need, as can often happen at smaller Aldi locations right before Ruhetage.
4) The large space also means that there are more "special" items for sale in the middle of the store, such as an extra large Easter candy display. Yum.
5) I might be seeing things through rose-tinted lenses, but I have the feeling that there are more organic items here than at other locations. For example, I saw organic whole grains - spelt, millet, barley - being sold here, which I haven't noticed anywhere else.
6) After getting the basics here, it's easy to round out the rest with either the Alnatura or the Rewe on the ground floor level. read more
