Message I received said it will be delivered this afternoon so we shall see.

They run good sales, some products are higher priced (this is priced like a small town grocery store... no super Walmart). There are no frills. The doughnuts are soooo good but they sell out pretty quickly. Overall, it's so hard to find local businesses still in business like this... and they do so much for the community.. it's worth supporting them.

Well I worked, I purchased other items not on sale. At check out, I found out that the ad was wrong. The only way I noticed was that I checked my receipt. the manager offered to give me a raincheck for half gallons since I could buy two of them in place of the gallon I purchased. It seems the person ordering saw the gallons on sale and ordered them instead of the half gallons. I am done shopping there.

The business is locally owned and operated and the store is neat, clean and organized. Shelves are generally well stocked and employees are super friendly and helpful. Product quality is very good and the prices are very reasonable. This freestanding store has its own private parking lot which is clean and free of debris. The large lot surround three sides of the building and is more than adequate for the business. The store is located on the corner of Market Avenue NE and Sunnyside Street SW in Hartville. There are two access points from Sunnyside Street so getting in our out of the property is easy and convenient. I moved away from this area many years ago but when I come back I appreciate being able to find so many of the local products I love at Sommers Discount Market.

We are having a fundraiser in June to help with costs associated with his care and time off work. Ask them to donate a 50.00 gift card. Their representative told me we had to be associated with a non-profit organization. He said they weren't in business to give money away. They had to be able to deduct it at tax time. I suspect this policy makes sure they don't have to contribute to any individual causes that the surrounding community may have. I regret supporting this heartless company for all these years.

If service is not an issue for you, the store carries a number of harder to find health food items but the prices are quite high for some of them. You can find many of the same products at Krieger's, Whole Foods or Trader Joe's for less. Often items on the shelf are out of date. They sell a good selection of bulk spices and staple items. The produce is from local farms and they have some nice selections depending on time of year.

As expected, I went straight to a line, told the cashier what I wanted and was checked out promptly with no problems. As I was walking to my car with my wood, a young cashier came running out of the store. She had a bag in her hand as she raced past me in the parking lot. About 50 yards ahead, she chased down another recent customer who had apparently left a bag of his purchase at the checkout. I could not believe how hard this young cashier ran to catch up with this guy before he left. After handing the man his bag, she turned back toward the store with a smile on her face to resume her job. I don't know if I will ever wind up in Wellington again, but if I did, I'd make a point of going to this store that encourages above-and-beyond service.

My mom wanted lunch meat from the deli but she chose to get some prepackaged lunch meat because one of the employees kept touching his mask as he was helping customers and getting their meat.
