They had a plethora of whole and ground spices, fruits and vegetable that were in season, honey, Amish made items and so forth. This market is run by Amish women who were some of the nicest people I have ever met. The one thing that stuck out to me was how well stocked their baking section was. They had sheets of fondant, specialty sugars, cake decorations, icing..... that arent even carried by big grocery stores in Chicago. I would have had to order them from online. However, this store is a baker's dream. The prices are very fair and even cheaper than I expected. Maranatha market is a quaint country store that I would recommend to anyone in the area. I am so glad that the hotel staff recommended this place to me. The drive to the store was beautiful and the store staff were very welcoming. Recommendation- Buy the frozen pies! They are made by a Mennonite woman with a certified kitchen. I tried the Dutch Apple Pie and it was AMAZING!!!!!! The crust was to die for and the filling was perfect- not cloying, not too sweet, nor was it too heavy on spices. I feasted on that Apple Pie. They had other varieties of pies- Regular apple pies, berry pies and so on. This holiday season keep them in your freezer and stick them straight into the oven for an hour. Perfect for guests. If you live in the area, this is a nice place to frequent and support local small businesses. If you are a visitor to the area like I was, Maranatha Market is a must visit .

Also, for a disabled person, the pharmacy and personal cares items are good, although they do tend to run out of distilled water for CPAP machines. The recent remerchandising of the store does mean longer shopping trips due to having to search for everything, but with familiarity, that will improve. A major complaint is bagged produce. Bags of potatoes, onions, apples, etc. always seem to have at least one rotten item in the bag. It's not a problem with individual produce items, but those are also more expensive. Oh, and one of the absolutely best things about the store is Barb. She is the most helpful, cheerful persons I have ever met. She is a true treasure.

Worse, they have terrible selection of everything but soda, and then only on certain days. The only reason I'm here and still 3rd in line after 10 minutes is that it's senior day. Might as well wait for the discount than walk out and head to Festival. Part of the problem, they claim, is that their card readers are down - company wide. Well done, Pick & Save. Except when I finally got to the check out, no i e was having problems with the readers. And then they bagged my 10 items in 7 plastic bags without asking. Yikes! I rebagged it into paper before I left.

We have driven from as far away as the upper peninsula of Michigan and Minneapolis, Minnesota to get their cheese. We load up every time we get anywhere near there. We currently live in Arizona and we have ordered cheese to be delivered to us whenever we run out. My wife is addicted to their Baby Colby and I buy everything else in the store from Munster, Provolone and of course tons of Cheese Curds. All you have to do is stop here one time and you're going to be addicted like we are. The cheese is awesome and so is everyone who works there, they are truly awesome people that provide an outstanding product at an unbelievably low price what else can you ask for?

We tried several of the havarties which included caraway, olive and dill along with some longhorn and aged Swiss and cheese curds. We also bought a sausage to try out. Their cheeses are fresh and low priced. The atmosphere was a little quiet. Everyone was busy doing their job so nobody bothered to greet you on entering the store, or asked if we needed help. One did answer a few questions when asked but other than that it was not very friendly. We use to go to a farm cheese house in southern WI where you could pick out your cheese, they slice it and wrap it to order. This place just has cheese chunks already wrapped in a case. I prefer the order and wrap style. Makes it a more into experience to interact with staff. But I would go back here if in the area.
