Check out the extensive spice collection! There are 5, five, shelves of spices that are higher…read morethan me! Many spices and spice mixes that I never heard of and want to try. Prices reasonable for the amount of common spices and all other spices. Some spice in smaller bottles, some in tall bottles, even bagged spices, different forms of some spices. Produce is fresh. Some produce may or may not be more expensive than the grocery store but what is sold is fresher and tends to last longer. Huge variety of reasonable price seeds, raisins and all kinds of nut products. Parking is always available. I usually go later in the day and the deli area is never crowded. They also have fresh baked bread products that are worth the cost. Gone here for over 10 years.

Better selection than expected. The prices are mostly okay. Better to support a local business than a chain. It certainly is a reason to come here. The selection isn't that bad either for it not being that big of a place. Has a humongous produce section at the front that takes up like a whole side of the store so if you're looking for some fresh fruits this is a good place to come look. There's tons of produce including apples, oranges, and more. Friendly owners and workers here. It's nice being able to get help. There's also plenty of candy among the fruits and vegetables.

I had a bad experience yesterday. While I was in the produce department selecting apples, an…read moreemployee was polishing the floors with a floor-cleaning machine. Instead of waiting for me to finish shopping, she asked me to move so that she could continue cleaning. I politely told her, "I am shopping, please wait." Despite this, she remained approximately 12 inches away from me with the loud cleaning machine and said "excuse me" three additional times, continuing to pressure me to move while I was trying to select my groceries. Having a large cleaning machine positioned so close to me while I was shopping made me feel uncomfortable and pressured to move out of the way. I felt bullied. Please be respectful of all customers. Her behavior was rude. Look at the woman looking at the worker in the picture. You can tell she was in her personal space as well.

Samples at every turn; fruits, chips and guac, salads, smoothies, fresh juices and horchata. Isles are jam packed with shoppers. Could not find the turkey chorizo but I know it generally sells fast. There was more variety of fish and fresh seafood in here than any other Pete's store I've visited. I did end of grabbing a few items, so I stood in line without a basket. One case of Coke for my husband, large bag of jasmine rice and some yogurt. It was more of a juggling act. Absolutely, nothing is on sale. The registers kept freezing, so we were ushered to other lines. Parking is another story; you are waiting to get into a spot, waiting to get out of that spot and fussed at in the process. I anticipate parking improving only slightly as Petes is in a great location.

Even if it looks okay when you leave, it will have fur on it the next day. Or if you open it, it will be molded or rotten. When you walk in the door, you immediately smell old fermented moldy produce. If you want to take a chance on getting a parasite, or spend money just to throw away- here's your place! Rotten tomatoes for .69 lb or non rotten ones in the back for $2 lb. The cashier seems to always know which are rotten and which ones you got that don't look okay rotten! If there is no price, they will charge you the highest price they can get away with. I always put the item back. Cash only so there's no evidence of you getting sick. If you use credit you have to pay their up charge. I've witnessed an employee being scolded for talking to a customer who should have maintained being tethered to the back. The sign outside may say Large pumpkins $1.99. When you get inside they are tiny and rotten stems. Not fresh cut. Dried out gords are $2.99 ea. I throw out more food than I find the diamond in the ruff. Sometimes you get lucky - carrots! The best time to come here is before a holiday when they order some fresh produce for a holiday.
