Since moving to the area we were happy to see Aldi has a presence in Central Florida! We have been to this specific location (as well as the one in Auburndale) a few times since the move and will continue to frequent both stores. We go to Aldi for fruits, vegetables, breads, and some frozen items. We do not shop for meats here as the cuts are minimal, smaller in size/packaging and usually more expensive overall. The prices for everything else are much less than the standard grocery store chains. The pre-made pizzas are tasty, well made and inexpensive. The "generic" snacks are just as good (and sometimes better) as the National brands. If you need to do major grocery shopping, for a wide variety of items, then this place may not be for you. If you are in need of the aforementioned items (they do carry milk, eggs, etc, as well), or you are nearby after doing your heavy shopping and still need to pick up some basics - swing by. terrible customer service had a horrible experience. Nobody will help you find anything. Workers are too busy, stocking shelves and they are unfriendly things always being moved around in the store so I don't understand why employees are not friendly enough to help customers find items. read more

I just recently moved to north Lakeland and decided to finally give Aldis a try. Initially, I was somewhat put off by having to pay a quarter to get a cart but keeps people from just dumping carts in the parking lot like I see elsewhere. I'm a big salad eater and prefer spring mixes over head lettuce along with seedless cukes and radishes and maybe a few onion slices. Tomatoes, if I can afford them, are nice, too. I was used to paying $5 for a small tub of spring mix at places like Publix and I could expect to pay $2 to $4 for a single cucumber and radishes would cost $3 a bag or bunch. Tomatoes (cherry) could easily cost $4 a container but that beat $1 a tomato any day. And don't get me started on the price of onions, eggs and other essentials. Imagine my surprise when I found a huge container of spring mix (enough for 4 days) for less than $5, radishes at $1.39 for a large bag and seedless cukes for 69 cents (hey, Publix! How come you charge $4 for a single cuke?). Unfortunately, no diced onions, but I can live with that. Then I find lower sodium salad dressings for less than $2 a bottle. Eggs for barely over a buck a dozen. Coffee creamer that's less than half the price of Publix and tastes just as good. Fruit cups that are roughly two packs for less than $3 when any other store considers it a good sale when they are two for $5. You want bread? They got bread, ranging from inexpensive loaves on up to exotics hitting close to $5 a loaf. While it's true their stores are smaller, they do seem to pack quite a bit in there. You've got a meat and freezer section along with dairy and dry goods. They even have half an aisle dedicated to odd items (one recent one was a bar cart for $99). My only gripe is that when I went to buy a reusable bag it was clearly marked 25 cents (in fact, it's part of the logo on the bag) but it rang up as 69 cents as the register. Need to correct that! Oh, and get there early. I swear the local mobile home parks must clear out and head to Aldi's (don't be surprised if you see a golf cart or two in the parking lot). read more

I'm a huge ALDI's fan and am glad to find this one in my new town. This seems to be a newer store, very clean. It's situated differently than the ones I'm used to, but it's larger and the aisles are wider - which is a good thing. Same deal as every other ALDI, pay a quarter for a cart (and get it back), bring your own bags and bag your own groceries, etc. No matter, it saves money. Nice produce section here, very clean. Same as the dairy area. The wine section was very nice. I'm looking forward to the holidays! ALDI's always has excellent chocolates and cheeses, amongst other things. read more

I used to shop at Aldi. I'm not sure if the manager was changed , but in the last couple of months the store is untidy. Is lacking neatness, inside , and outside. The products are mixed, empty boxes everywhere, and from the weekly add only a few products are present, some shelfs are empty. I really hope that some measure are taken, and the store will look again clean, neat, and inviting. read more

It's acceptable and understandable to help keep costs down, that customers must manage shopping carts by unlocking them with a refundable $0.25. I get that, but when customers must carry their own toilet paper with them, in case nature calls while at Aldi's, it is inexcusable. While in the middle of filling my shopping cart yesterday, I had an urgent need to use the men's restroom. I parked my shopping cart and went into the restroom only to discover that the large, two roll TP dispenser, was empty. There was no paper products in that restroom! No excuse is acceptable for this! Even if management had forgotten to order enough, there is a Walmart about a mile away so they should have re-stocked a temporary supply from there. I had to abandon my shopping cart and hurry to Walmart so I could use their restroom! Since I was there already, I decided to shop there instead of continuing to be the faithful Aldi customer that I had been since the store opened in 2011. Shame on you, Aldi Management!
