It was my first time buying a SIM card and I tried to get help from others in the area who weren't helpful at all - one store just told me to go away when I asked what plan would be best for my time. The guy who worked here helped me a lot. I had initially bought two 5# cards and he showed me how to enter it into my phone. I didn't know it'd be better to get a plan so I obviously used those cards up in a day and went back, given that he was patient and helpful with me the day before. When he found out I used up the cards, he helped me pick out the plan I needed for the duration of my stay - that was after he sort of got annoyed with me for not telling him what I was using it for. Still, he took his time and helped me, again, to set it up the plan my phone so that I'd be able to do it on my own next time. All in all, I could tell that he didn't want me to have a bad experience while I was visiting. I'm not a regular shopper here so I'm not sure how the prices compare to other places, but the store keeper's patience and helpfulness with "yet another dumb tourist" was greatly appreciated - enough for me to write a Yelp review for it.

(These are the thoughts I just conveyed to the lady at the till when purchasing my apple...) As this is my local supermarket, I spend a lot of time here, and as a regular face, many members of staff now say hi to me and we have a chit chat - I like this, it makes for a nice community vibe, and makes the shopping experience generally more personal and friendly. Recently though, I have found that they often don't have the items I am looking for (eg. black beans/ innocent pots/ coconut yogurt) but I suppose this can be forgiven, seeing as how this is not one of those ginormous, mega-supermarkets... Also, is it just me, or is Sainsbury's more expensive than some of the other major UK supermarkets? Just a thought... On the plus side, this store always has good deals and special offers on wine and champers and they have an extensive magazine selection at the front of the store, which I frequently stop at for a good 20 minute power browse after purchasing my shopping!

This is a medium sized Sainsburys but 90% of the time I've been able to get everything I need. The…read morestore is clean and well managed but it can get very crowded and I often end up spending ages dodging trollies or waiting for people to move out of the way, this can get frustrating and I usually end up rushing myself just to get the hell out of there and then i forget things! If you keep your shopping to basket size its pretty quick to pay, the ques for trolleys can get very long and tend to back up down the aisles. This can all be avoided if you stay away during peak times and if you have less than 5 items pop down to the ciggarette counter and you'll be out in no time. At the end of the day its a Sainsburys and no-one is going to make the trip out to see it but if you live in the area its more than sufficient to get your weekly groceries.

I detest the Brookwood Sainsburys with a passion! It should be so good but fails on almost every…read morepoint apart from parking! The car park is large with a decent number of special spaces. There are always trolleys available although they are often wet from the rain as there is insufficient cover for them. The store operates a self scan system if that is your thing although often it doesn't work and the queues at the special tills are often longer than the regular tills. Fruit and veg never seems to last long from here even compared to the much cheaper offerings from Morrisons. Pricewise it compares to Waitrose but there's no comparison in quality! There is an ever-shrinking fresh meat section and it often looks poor. The butcher counter is also small and rarely has much on it to tempt. My biggest grip here though is that I can rarely do a complete shop here and it's not because I want odd items. I've lost count of the number of times they've been out of stock of basics such as fresh milk, eggs, bread or chicken breasts. The queues are always long in here although the staff are quite pleasant. Good for a late night chemist. There is a cafe and toilets, both reasonaly clean.

I have taken pictures of the sugar selection alone to send to friends back home in the US. Check-out staff are very pleasant. Only downside is that floor staff think nothing of blocking aisles with restocking carts, chatting while they work (slowly), and simply walking in front of you -- especially if you back off slightly to avoid gridlock with other clients. This makes getting through the store difficult -- and getting what you want off the (blocked) shelves harder, contributing greatly to the frustration factor in an already crowded store.

The produce is of consistently good quality and, although not the largest supermarket around, there is sufficient there to do a weekly shop - assuming your pockets are deep enough. Prices have remained consistent following the opening of Sainsbury a few doors up, though the evening opening hours always manage to confound me. All the staff are friendly, helpful and posess congnitive functions. There is a decent sized car-park and you can get your pay-and-display back if you spend over a tenner - not hard to do in Waitrose.

Went to Waitrose in the Kings Road Chelsea London today…read more Saturday 7th October 2023 at 3.15pm After purchasing my shopping I went to collect my Free Coffee and there was a note on the Coffee machine that stated cleaning in progress. I asked a Waitrose partner who was reducing items near the machine to ask how long when it will be ready and the Waitrose partner informed me that the Coffee machine has not been working for a long while. I said to her that is not good service and then left the store without my Free Coffee (very disappointing service from Waitrose) WHY LIE TO CUSTOMERS BY PUTTING A FALSE MESSAGE ON THE COFFEE MACHINE?!

The slightest flaw in customer flow can (and does) screw up the everyone's movement and cause mass hysteria. I don't know what it is about the people who shop here, but they don't seem to know how to move in a supermarket type environment. It's like they arrive at the store and all rules of human motion, and even the laws of physics I'll argue, mysteriously cease. They walk briskly and abruptly stop. They ponder over an item, blocking your access to a display, for way too long. They inexplicably reverse course and swing a full cart around, perilously close to important body parts. They move sloooooowly. They linger. They chat on mobiles in the middle of cramped aisles. They stand with their kids in strollers in front of things you need. They don't move! It happens every time I'm there. Great store otherwise.

Hugely overpriced local Tesco store. Staff not very helpful in general…read more Most recent issue was they refused a parcel for me which was a ParcelShop delivery with no reason. I have had issues trying to resolve this all week with Evri and the supplier and now it's gone back to the supplier and they've issued a refund but the problem started with Tesco refusing the parcel for no apparent reason. Why are they listed as a ParcelShop if they don't take parcels? I won't be visiting this store again and also the phone number listed for the store online doesn't work either!

The clothing section is large and usually has a good choice of sizes, as well as a good lingerie section and excellent fancy dress and children's section also. There are often discounted rails too which are sometimes large discounts, mainly 30%. It also has a good selection of pre-school toys, sometimes with offers, but is useful for presents that can be easily picked up when doing the regular shop. It has a huge selection of all the usual grocery items, although this is not the cheapest of supermarkets. Buses to and from this supermarket are frequent and cover the local area well, although are very busy at school times.

I am currently wearing my £10 jeans! Bargain. Every sort of food you can think of including American things like Skippy peanut butter and a huge range of ethnic foods too. Arriving just before opening hour, there was a crowd of about 30 people waiting to get in, which is usually a good sign. Massive parking lot and a bike rack for Sarah. Clean and bright on the inside, Waitrose has the flavor of Publix (for those of you in the Southeast) or Harris-Tetter (Mid-Atlantic). Higher end products and lots of organics. When was the last time you were in a shop (other than Wal-Mart or Target) that had a display of iPods as well as organic produce? Prices were a little bit (but not much) higher than Tesco/Asda/Sainsbury, but there were also a good number of items that I've not seen at those stores. Excellent wine section and a fresh cheese section (you know Brits and their cheese!) plus a fresh fishmonger and butcher. I was quite impressed and glad I had only Sarah's saddlebags to limit my purchases or I could have gone quite overboard. Waitrose has some interesting convenience features. They do free delivery (as they all do here) but they also have a clever hand scanner that you 'check-out' when you enter the store. As you put your groceries into the trolley, you scan each one. At the end of your shop, you bring the scanner to a special register, pay for what you've scanned, and then leave. You can completely avoid any human interaction if you so choose. Several of the trolleys have a special holder (like a cup-holder) for the doo-dad! Speaking of trolleys, Waitrose has more than the two sizes (small and large) I've spotted at Tesco and Asda. There are also ones that hook to wheelchairs and double-baby seats and double-toddler seats. And several have a clipboard attached for your shopping list. Pretty slick! Waitrose publishes a free weekend tabloid style magazine as well as a £1 glossy recipe guide. A rather expensive way to reach out to customers and plug certain items, but I liked it. Also a quarter-inch thick catalog for home delivery. A very pleasant shopping experience with a good selection and convenience. If it wasn't so far from where I am, I could see Waitrose being my regular shopping destination. Note: this Waitrose has a Costa inside with plenty of seating.
