Out of all the Aldi stores within a 5 mile radius of our place, I like this one on Commercial the best. The produce is always set up and presented very neatly and they have plenty of inventory....many times, the other Aldi stores run out of sale items very quickly. I love their employees, who are very helpful every time I have asked any questions regarding where things are or if they can help me find an item. And...I love the amount of self checkout registers they have...that makes the process of shopping much quicker and easier for me. read more

I guess the best way to describe my relationship with Aldi is that it is definitely rooted in a love/hate relationship. While Aldi definitely has some great prices on certain items like their vegetables, cheese, potato chips, some of their chocolate, their eggs, milk and more, I did find that some things are underwhelming and I would go with a major brand. I compare Aldi to kind of a Odd Lots of supermarkets. I guess to better describe this is that they buy some items in bulk that did not do well and try to pass it on to their customer base. This is not a bad thing, but it does bear in mind to look into it a bit. The store itself is bright and nice enough to wander the aisles. I found it to be an overall pleasant enough experience. read more

I've been shopping here for the last three years. Aldi is a No Frills supermarket, however they have a decent organic produce section, wine and some great chocolates Their prices are very reasonable. In order to get a shopping cart you need to put in a quarter as the carts are locked up. I get specific things when I come to Aldi's and then shop elsewhere as well. Here's what I like: Organic spring mix $5 Great fruit: mangos, kiwis, dried dates, berries, cantaloupe. Organic apples Sweet potatoes, red & yellow peppers Their brand of hummus is great (regular an red pepper) Organic cans of beans Frozen cauliflower rice Chocolate- great variety, I love their chocolate with hazelnuts Gluten free section The checkout staff are super fast so even when there's a line it won't take long . read more

One word should say how I feel and it is HORRIBLE. Manager Jeff is never Anywhere but in the office. DM is too young and inexperienced to be a DM. Makes bad decisions. The employees are lazy and disrespectful With the exception of Mr. Miranda who was respectful and assisted me with what I needed. The vegetables and fruit are constantly rotten. I have always been one to tell people about Aldi, even if that means my location gets a little more crowded. It's good to spend the love. Things to know about Aldi if this is your first trip: 1. Bring a quarter. You'll need this for your grocery cart. Yes, for your cart. Aldi doesn't have many associates so the idea is that you'll be more likely to return the cart to get your quarter back. 2. Bring your own bags. Yes, they have bags, but it'll cost you. Might as well save yourself some money and save the environment a little bit in the process. So Aldi isn't huge like most large chain grocery stores. They don't have a deli department, but you can find pretty much everything you'd be able to get in your normal store, but just a different selection. I have always been a huge fan of their produce department. As Aldi has evolved they've added to the grocery stores in terms of brands and house hold items. Recently I saw them selling rain boots which was interesting, but hey, there must be a need. The store is clean. The employees at the register are friendly. It's kind of a no-frills place, but do you need frills when you are buying groceries. If you're a Whole Foods only kind of person I don't think this is the place for you, but if you're just looking for some basic food needs, they've got you. read more

I am very happy with my neighborhood store which is on East commercial Boulevard. Very clean store, well stacked and stocked... Very nice and quick staff as well. We love the options we have especially the gluten-free. Unfortunately prices have gone up but they're still good here at the store. I've been to a few Aldi's, in Florida and beyond. This is probably the worst Aldi I've been in in the USA (the German stores are horrible). But there's pros and cons: Pros: clean, excellent, though very limited line of cold cuts and cheese (it actually looks and tastes like real food), what they have is usually price effective. Cons: Extremely limited selection. For me, its not worth the time to go this store. read more

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS STORE!! I love this Aldis. They have all the goodies that you expect and plenty of more. They always have random speciality snacks for a good price. On this visit I found shrimp bites, lobster ravioli, and crab ravioli. I always get my produce from here and it's way cheaper than some of the other stores. Sorry Aldi... this particular store isn't nearly as nice as your larger remodeled store in Coral Springs. Plus the cashier was a little curt. He gave us less than five seconds to remove our stuff from the cart. He was already piling up the next customer's purchases on top of ours. We barely rescued our eggs. Yes, they do have some items at low prices. And if it's something you use a lot of... or have a very big family, you'll benefit from the oversized containers. I wanted cottage cheese, but they only had 24 ounce size in the case. I wanted corn oil but the bottle was huge. I'd be afraid it'd go rancid by the time I used it. Overall, I got about 6 items from my list. A few items they didn't have at all -- for example whipped butter, and small frozen one-person meals, and renuzits. A couple items on my list, I only buy in a particular brand which isn't possible here. The items we did get added up to under $20 but we will need to go to Publix or another grocery store to finish the rest of the grocery list. So maybe we will go to Aldi occasionally but most likely not this particular branch. read more

Recommended- You're thinking of course it is - it's Aldi! But this particular location won't let you down. We made the short trip here and were very pleased. I have been in a less-than-pleasant aldi believe it or not. We checked out their snacks, fresh produce, Greek yogurt, cheese and these little hummus desserts (more on that to come). The multigrain chips we got were really good and gluten free. They had the best asparagus I've seen in quite some time. We got Harvarti cheese that is SO good. Now to the important part - dessert hummus. Yeah, it totally sounds weird but it's WAY TOO GOOD. We saved tons of money coming here instead of Publix or Kroger, etc. And PS - their gluten free section was well stocked! read more

I was at first leery of shopping at Aldi, but after shopping here, I'm not. With their in house labeling and low, as in very low costs it's no wonder they won the coveted 2014 Market Retailer of the Year Award. Aldi operates under a very specialized marketing concept by remaining small, not having any more than two of any items for selection, shuns credit cards, has most of its items under house label (no big name brands here), only has shopping carts for rent redeemable upon cart return, encourages you to bring your own shopping bag, never returns unsold items to suppliers, doesn't use supplier coupons, discounts or permit supplier shelving arrangements. Of everything I've purchased at Aldi, I've found it to be just as good as the name brand items or any house items I've found at Publix and, of course, at a much lower prices. In fact, most items are lower in price than Walmart, Costco or Sam's with the benefit fact that you need not be a buyer's club member or have to buy in the huge bulk that the others so often only have available for purchase. With prices being so low, the stores smaller and easier to get around and the quality of what they have available being the equal of any other, you can count me in as being a Four Stars Plus fan. read more

What a find. I love saving money on good food, especially organics. Buying these items at Aldi versus your average grocery saves you loads, at least 20%. We had done our shopping at another grocery store in the area and it was expensive and run-down. By comparison, Aldi is neatly set up, fewer choices but fabulous savings. It's important to note that you must bring your own bags or you'll have to pay for them, which is incentive enough, even if it's not a habit. We should all bring our own bags all the time, for the good of our suffering planet. Another note is that choices can be minimal and some individual use items might not be present. Again, no loss since the savings are tremendous. Kudos to the staff for their efficient if not brusque service. read more

I'm addicted, what can I say. I have a hard time walking into Pubix knowing I could cut my bill down by a 1/3 with Aldi. Yes, bring a quarter to grab a cart and purchase a few of the Aldi bags. Once you have those, you won't regret it. The parking at this location is very easy and have never had a hard time. You won't be able to purchase everything you need, but you can get about 90% of it. The produce is spot on and I love the salmon they provide. I know an executive within Aldi and he explained most items are the same as Pubix but just a different label. Aldi is one of the most efficient companies I've witnessed and am amazed how they can pull it off. Every person I've told Aldi about has become a fan so do yourself a favor and give it a shot. No joke, that $120 bill at Publix turns into $75 at Aldi. Who doesn't want to save money? read more

I love to write Yelp reviews for bars, restaurants, museums, and coffee shops. Aldi is none of those. It is however, part of my love language and a place that has really helped me to get healthy affordably as their vegetables and produce are drastically cheaper than any other supermarket around. Aldi is no frills and a bit quirky, but it provides some really affordable groceries of mostly great quality. They cut some corners in order to pass savings along to customers. This location recently underwent a face lift which is moderately surprising given the general commitment to saving and basic services. It looks really nice and the service while sparse (by design) is always friendly and exceptionally fast. A few months ago I started doing Whole30 and have continued to eat primarily vegetables and Aldi has been my salvation saving me hundreds of dollars on fresh cabbage, cucumbers, avocados, zucchini, grapefruit, peppers, diced tomatoes, limes, garlic, onions, fake La Croix, frozen tilapia and much more. The produce is inordinately cheaper than Publix, but sometimes the quality is a little inconsistent and I've noticed it tends to spoil quicker than other produce. I don't mind that as I'm aware of it and just have to plan better. I don't necessarily trust some of the food items and I tend to purchase beef, pork, and chicken elsewhere, but the frozen fish is excellent and insanely cheap. I'll take a flyer on random items knowing that some of them might be kind of awful and others surprisingly delicious. It is a quirky place even before you enter as you better remember your quarter to unlock the shopping cart and have your own bags or use their boxes to pack your groceries. There is a strange and fun camaraderie about passing quarters to and from shoppers coming or going with their empty carts. As long as you know what you're in for, Aldi is a magical affordable place to shop and save so much money on groceries. read more

Today as I was about to pay for my items, I had a full load trolley and there was nobody in line at the cashiers where I chose to load my trolley full of food. I noticed the same cashier who is working there- I do not know his name but he had like black hair and glasses. I was already upset as he threw my food items into the trolley while I had a box in there to place the items nicely he threw them like they were playing tennis balls all over the cart with no consideration. I told him I will place it in there and as I did he said please put your credit card inside and I didn't finish loading the food onto the moving place. He was very rude and I told him if he cannot place them nicely I will do it myself as it looked like he was in a rush to go home and nobody was even behind me. I was not happy at all with this poor customer service. It occurred at approx 8:30pm 3/9/23, only here was working there. I live one block away and I will never go back to aldis again. My wife and I usually shop there snd I will tell my family also not to shop there because of this poor service. Very unpleasant man and poor representation to aldis where I did like to shop because of the fresh food. Today I have changed my mind. I hope he doesn't stay there much longer. These people need better training because if this happened at Publix or Whole Foods they would be fired instantly. read more

If you know prices of competitors' products, you can find some bargains and avoid some of the overpriced items. Less savvy consumers may be tempted to believe that everything is low priced, but that is definitely not the case. Not a market where I can do much shopping. If I am driving by the store, I may stop in for a quick look around, just in case. I have never purchased more than four items in one shopping trip. Not a single brand of beer worth purchasing. Yuck. Very few products have brand names that are familiar to most consumers. Bring your own shopping bags. Credit cards are now accepted. Ample free parking in private lot. I would recommend checking it out just out of curiosity. It is an unusual experience. Some may even find it entertaining. read more

Aldi has a nice selection of fresh organic and non organic produce, breads, cheeses, and more on a smaller-scale than the "other" large supermarket chains in town (i.e. no deli or ready to eat meals). Prepare for a simplistic and no frills shopping experience where you'll find European branding and some unique treats and product offerings (i.e. gooseberries). Bring your own bags and be ready to bag your own goods as the cashiers only have 1 job: cashiering. I like Aldi and recommend it! read more

Stop in to buy some salmon, grabbed some shaved steak and went to go pay for my things and WTF only two cashiers. Each line had Six plus people in line with shopping carts overflowing. Needless to say I'm not going to wait a half an hour to buy a couple of items. Besides the salmon was kind of fatty but I thought I'd give it a try. I don't know what the big deal is about this place the produce is terrible. The meat section was practically empty. We used to avoid Aldi's at all costs as we felt the stores were not all that clean and the products were of poor quality. That was years ago and now we are singing a different tune. Aldi's is the place to shop for us. The quality of the groceries, produce, meat (yes, I said meat), dairy, and frozen goods are equal to what you would find at the local big chain grocery stores. We were preparing for a big party at our house - lots of homemade appetizers, cheeses, wines, and so on. I was able to do all of my shopping at Aldi's and looked at the bill twice. It was about half of what I had budgeted for this event. And, the manager at our local Aldi's on Commercial Blvd. here in Oakland Park is friendly, helpful, and has a staff that also provides great customer service. It's a busy store and I understand why. How have I not written this review yet? I LOVE ALDI. I am a pretty savvy shopper who coupons and will definitely pop around town to a few different stores every week. No Aldi stores accept any coupons, but that's because 90% of the store are their in house branded products. This store is pretty far from my house but the savings are certainly worth the trek at least once a week. My favorite things to get here consistently are produce and their signature "aldi finds". The produce without a doubt is cheaper and fresher than almost all the main grocers in the area. Aldi stores have better non sale prices than most stores, and Aldi runs sales too! I eat a TON of avocados which can get expensive depending on the season. Here they were 69 cents last time I got them, and the best sale price at the time was 4/5.00 elsewhere-almost double the price! All the other produce is super fresh and almost all of it is prepackaged so you're not going to be charged by the pound, making checkout more efficient. Efficiency is their middle name since it saves money. You bag your own things, and their cashiers look like they are treated really well which I love. They get chairs-when was the last time you saw your Publix cashier sitting down? Much better for your back and feet-trust me I worked as a grocery store cashier in high school and your feet kill at the end of the day. Also they appear to pay really well-a sign on the door for hiring said they START at 12.50 an hour and management was $24! Savings for us and well paid employees is my idea of an awesome company. I love being able to get random stuff in the middle aisles for dirt cheap (but still quality). Case in point, I needed a plastic bag holder to go under my sink. On Amazon, cheapest for the one I wanted and held off on was $11, Aldi find that week was 3.99. Also I brought home a dish drying rack and an egg holder since it was "kitchen week" seeing as they have themes for the finds. Next week-pet stuff, so I'm bringing my pup some stuff :D If you haven't trekked up here, bring a quarter and some of your reusable bags and reel in the savings, you'll be glad you did. read more

In the last year it has grown so much that they extended its walls and added three huge sections. I am one of the few who doesn't get the hype. Yes a few items are priced well. But not all. So buyer beware. More or less same company as trader joes but without the pleasant shopping experience. Feels like a cheap warehouse store and cashiers literally throw your items into the carts. For a few cents more I recommend trader joes for this sort of shopping where the stores are cleaner and staff more accommodating Update: Since the store has been remodeled it's a lot cleaner and a nicer shopping experience. We now go quite often since we live nearby. Especially like their boneless chicken breast's which are huge and offered at great prices! read more

I love aldi! They were named 2014 private label grocer the year and rightfully so. Number one grocery store in Germany. If you think furniture you think of Ikea and aldi is to groceries what Ikea is to furniture. Aldi is a no frills low price grocery store with private labels so there is no advertising costs. I used to be leery about this until.someone who worked for Coca Cola explained to me they make some of the private labels the same.way for the stores but there are no advertising costs. When you go to Aldi you put a quarter deposit for a cart so you will return it and oddly that works. You will need to bring your own bags as they do not supply them. It is even day low prices. Honestly outside of bogo with coupons it can barely be beat. Their meat is of incredible USDA quality and the prices are excellent. They have staple products and weekly or special buys they buy and when they are gone they are gone. Today's score includes 24 oz of snow crab legs for $10.99. A yummy bottle of Chardonnay for $6.99. Butter $1.99 , 2 lb of fresh ground turkey $2.09, pound of wild salmon 3.99 and a few other items! Again why pay more when you can pay less just don't forget your bags!!÷ read more

CHECK YOUR PRODUCE!!!! They *must* be getting their veggies from the dumpster behind Publix. I can deal with the occasional tomato having some mold. Recently about 1/3 of the produce I've gotten has started to mold withing a day of buying. Last straw was today when I returned some peppers that had started to rot(I bought them yesterday). Looked for a replacement, and about half a dozed gnats flew out of the bag I was grabbed. Oh yeah, it also dripped rotten pepper juice onto my foot. Im now wondering where the meat comes from. It's probably best not to know. Will be getting more food from Trader Joe's and Publix from now on, Aldi's is revolting. read more

Here's something to store in your trivia bank! Aldi is actually two companies originally owned by two brothers, who always kept their companies separate. The companies have always been separate and operate as Aldi Nord and Aldi Sud (break out your foreign language dictionaries - this is not that difficult) but they work together when making agreements with contractors. Each company works in separate areas of Germany and separate EU nations. Here in the US Aldi Nord operates a certain popular chain known as Trader Joe's. And Aldi Sud operates here as... well... ALDI! Now that you have your history lesson let's get to the basics...you have to pay a quarter for the shopping cart (a not to well established fact that I can attest to since my elderly father actually got into fisticuffs with a fellow Aldi shopper over the issue of the quarter...I am woefully embarrassed) and you have to bring your own boxes or shopping bags. With all the "go green" fabric bags abounding this isn't asking too much. The real deal is that you can find items here that are not too far from their brand "cousins" over at Trader Joe's - and still even cheaper! Staff may seem a little surly (maybe they're paid less too?) but I guess you get tired of having to explain Aldi policies over and over - but that's a small price to pay for really inexpensive comestibles in a time of rising prices and decreasing wages - a subject I am all too familiar with. read more

$4 for a pack of 4 frozen salmon fillets and for my purchases, they generally stay under $2 per item. Fresh produce, limited selection of meats, plenty of frozen and non-perishable foods available. The Clancy tortilla chips and Specially Selected garlic salsa aren't that great fyi. I'd wait for other stores to have sales on their shredded cheese ($1.99 deals, typically it's $3) and they don't always have the cheapest produce. However, Aldi's gets the job done. Plenty of parking. Remember to bring a quarter for your cart. And also your own bags to carry your groceries. read more

Some of these pictures are old before they remodeled. Aldi is great, but not great on customer service or keeping the place clean. Their model is having few people to keep costs down but this a problem when there a spills like broken eggs, milk, etc. Also, keeping the produce fresh, I've had a lot of problems lately.
