It's a local favorite with tons of repeat clients. Everyone is super helpful and ready to answer questions. We grabbed papaya, guanavana (sour sop), burro bananas and even some cachapas and Honduran cheese. When you get to the register, get some empanadas, chicharrones and get some home made tortillas (you have to ask for those-secret compartment behind the register). The topic was tomatoes I learned something and it inspired me to purchase a tomato plant (wish me luck). I plan on attending future talks as my schedule permits. The presenter was knowledgeable and patient with all the questions. They have garden plots you can purchase and the is a garden shed that sells gardening items.

The location is a small, narrow bay in a plaza, but there were a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables in stock. It isn't as big as a grocery store but it's more personal with friendly service. If you live in the neighborhood, this could easily be your local market. Where you get to know everyone. I follow them on Instagram to stay updated on where their markets will be next. They also feature vendors ahead of time, which is great for both customers and the vendors. They rotate locations throughout Fort Lauderdale, which keeps things interesting. They also incorporate fun themes and events like ladies nights on Wednesdays and yoga on Sundays, along with other special events. I usually attend their markets at Huizenga Park, and it's the perfect setup. There's a great variety of vendors, especially on a sunny Sunday, and the location itself is ideal. They're there every other weekend, which is awesome. I've been three times now. While there are a few returning vendors who are my favorites, I also get to discover new ones each time and try new things. Highly recommend checking them out. These markets are awesome!

The next market in this park will be on Sunday, February 8th. I love exploring local maker markets and this one had so many cute things. The beautiful new layout of the park was the perfect spot for all of the vendor tents. Some of the items that caught my eye were the baked goods, produce, Soul Bloom earrings, jam, crochet plushies, Blooming Signature Lattes, plants, a fresh flower bar, clothing, and pasture raised meat and eggs, There was live music, a food truck, families with children, and a lot of dogs. The weather was gorgeous making it the perfect day to shop local. If you like unique items and supporting small businesses, I highly recommend you check out the next Sunny Side Up Market.

There wasn't actually many options. In the large tent there is the numerous tables of fruits and vegetables, many organic. There was a couple other tents with random things. One had dietary pills and another was for selling handmade crafts. It would have been a bust if not for the soup guy. He sets up in the front of the market so you cant miss him. He has prepared soups frozen in coolers that you can get for 5 dollars. We got 3 different homemade soups from him, to include a Matzo and a Chicken. We had them later, and yes they were pretty good. So with that redeeming moment I would say stop in on a weekend if you are walking by. You cant miss it, there is a posted sign right off the street for the Green market. We will pop back soon. Don't think the likes of LA's Framer's Market or anything like those of major or even minor cities, but more in terms of a small community green market. It's small, really small, only a couple of vendors but a decent enough choice of locally grown fresh vegetables, fruits, homemade soups, pickled and jar canned goods. Among them you'll find Ms. V who has a variety of really good pierogis, preserves, spreads, salsas and other items. You'll find her lasagna and stuffed peppers to be particularly good. Also the "Soup Queen" (remember this is Wilton Manors, if you catch my drift) with various soup offerings; among them a rather good chicken soup. As far as a star rating on this green market, I have to agree with Yelper Tim S. at two stars, but only because it is so small and so very limited in its offerings.

Some of them were familiar from other local farmer's markets. There was a good variety of eats including Lickity Split Cakes, Tier 1 Catering, Happy Dog Bakery, Mr Bill BBQ, Local Honey, Buckle Flavors, Tasty Layers Bakery, Tropical Plants and Malvo's Chill Spot. The scent of the Chicken and ribs grilling up on the smoker from Mr Bills BBQ was making me super hungry. Grabbed some huckleberry pie (I think thats what it was) from Buckle Flavors.
