The older woman who checked me out said "well it was on the sale rack" as in I should know better? I still didn't consider having a place sell jars of food that far out of date. With that statement and the tone of her voice I felt maybe the date was covered intentionally to be deceitful? I wasn't even upset about it but felt hostility from the worker for returning it. Every employee in the store is very friendly and helpful and that goes a long way now days especially compared to other grocery stores that have poor customer service. The prices are fair, the store is always clean, and the stock is well rotated for good dates on products. We walked in and asked another employee what we were supposed to do and she said that it had already all been given away before 8:00 am. That someone came early and gave it all away. But we still have a free bag of chips and a drink but the groceries are gone. They gave them away from the parking lot early this morning. That's not what their commercials said. So they completely lied. I hope corporate sees this. We will not be shopping at this establishment if they're going to lie.
