I explained my problem very politley to the woman and she just gave me a blank stare like and said "well what do YOU suggest i do?" (WHATTT??) then She gave me a screwdriver and told me to try that. she said it could break the hatch and I was genuinely terrified. I didn't want to break my Car!! after a while with the Screwdriver, nothing was working so I went back in to tell her and she just gave me a blank stare and i was seriously holding back tears. I had to leave and she wasn't helping! she told me to try AGAIN so I went back OUT to try again and finally got it open. not once did this woman go out to help me. when I told her I got it Open, she just shrugged and didn't seem too Happy. I'm not sure if she was just having a bad morning or what but she was very mean and un-helpful. It's not that hard to just help a customer, it is your JOB, but this woman clearly didn't want to. I really hope managment sees this because from now on, I will be getting my gas elsewhere, not here. Thank you.

They carry other store brands and products not only Hispanic centered products which is nice and gives options. Note the prices feel a little higher than when going to a larger grocery chain but that is to be expected. They have a wonderful selection of pan dulce, beans, dried chilies, fruits and vegetables. You can find all the spices you need to make your grandmas famous dishes! So many imported goods. You can also find many different cuts of meats, hot foods and cold prepared food items for easy dinner options. Overall the store was clean and very organized. There were samples of watermelon and cantaloupe out for trying, and I found myself with an Indiana watermelon in my cart, plus local peaches and tomatoes. My husband called my attention to the pies, donuts, muffins, and fry pies. I could smell that Green Acres bakes/fries some of their sweets, while they sell goods from other businesses. He bought a blueberry donut and Amish fry pie, and of the two, the blueberry donut was the better buy. Green Acres not only frosted it but also added some blueberries on top. Not bad! Though they didn't make it into the cart, Green Acres also carries meat, eggs, flowers, soaps, succulents, adirondack chairs, and decor for your yard. While this won't be in my regular rotation, I'm grateful to know that Green Acres is available. I may pop in during the fall for pumpkins.

Green Acres Farm Market may be worth the stop, if you purchase other items than what I did!…read more Cashier was very nice, friendly, and for a farm market, they have an extensive collection of items! If you are staying in the area, it is possible to purchase several full meals of groceries here. But, nearly everything I purchased was not good. The jams/jellies? Why are they not Michigan made? I bought 2-3, 1 leaked on the car ride back home, the other did not have good texture or flavor at all, which is disappointing, as it is Raspberry Rhubarb. The honey was the worst local honey I've ever purchased anywhere. Maybe because it was my first time trying creamed honey? The apples were overpriced, but I needed them. Taste and quality was decent. We wanted to purchase a small wooden windmill, but the price was ludicrous, I think it was $300! Locally, maybe this is the place to go for plants. Maybe it's the place to go for produce. I know it's not the place to go for anything in a jar. I'd rather drive to Holland for the Farmers Market or to Harvest Health Foods. If I'm in the area again, I'd give the another try, to test a bigger array of their items!

Nate and I stopped in after breakfast at Real Food Cafe recently and picked up some groceries and a hanging basket for my mom. The layout of the store is kind of strange and crowded, so it was difficult to maneuver the large cart at times. It took me a bit to find some items since this isn't my regular grocery store, but I was able to find 99% of the stuff on my list. I didn't see many employees around to ask for help finding things. The garden center was a similar situation with only one person who looked to be working there. I wasn't sure which hanging baskets were for sun vs. shade, but some were labeled. They had tons of flowers, vegetables, and other plants available for sale. I can't really comment on pricing since I'm not the plant person in my household, but I'd rather support a local business like Ken's over Lowe's or some other big box store.

Addendum: right after I wrote this review I had the following experience. I walked in desperately looking for croissants and asked if they had any even though there weren't any in the case. A nice lady went into the back, got three of the frozen croissants they would use to make deli sandwiches, rang them up and sold them to me ad hoc. One of her co-workers said "I didn't even know we can do that." And the nice lady replied, "we can do anything the customer wants."
