So, I just wanted to update my review to say that after my first visit with my pup Igor, this vet has really followed through in making sure he was doing well. I had to return to get his little paw checked out for progress in healing. They then followed up with a phone call to check on the progress. I love this so much! But, the best part is yet to come. Not only looked after my little pup Igor so well, they sent me a Welcome Card and a complimentary gift pack offer. How nice is that? Check out the card in the photos on this listing. So sweet! This is where I take my Blue Heeler puppy, Arthur, to get his checkups and I wouldn't take him anywhere else. The veterinarians who work here are really compassionate friendly people and they are fantastic at their jobs, so I consider myself quite lucky to have this as my local clinic. I took Arthur to the puppy preschool that is available here, and while it sounds ridiculous it's a really good idea because it allows for your pup to get used to other dogs and they teach you how to teach your pet; If you're local this is a good option. While vet's are always going to be pricey at least at Aldgate Vet Clinic you have the sense that it isn't just a job and these people actually really care for your pet...maybe even love them...maybe not. Anyhow, I will never change clinics, even if I happen to move. read more

The Aldgate Vet is one of the best established and most highly trusted vets in the hills area. Most people I know from around there take their creatures here when they're in a bad way. They've been in the same place for as long as I can remember, and they're truly committed to the welfare of animals. Obviously such an important thing to have in a vet. I have been taking my dogs, cats, and even a chicken once, to Nadia and her team for nearly 10 years now. I always feel like they love my pets almost as much as I do. I recently had a terrible experience with my 11 year old cat who was on the brink of death, and they mobilised to figure out what was wrong with her, even taking my panicked phone calls on public holidays. Due to their caring diligence, the mystery was solved and my girl has made a full recovery. Although I do use the Mount Barker vets for the majority of my livestock needs, Nadia also has ample experience with them, and has been wonderful about answering questions I have had about my goats and sheep, reaching out to her networks to find out things for me if she wasn't sure.
