Her salon is very clean and comfortable. The location is easy to find, and there is ample parking. Britney braided my hair in Kinky Twists twice and, this past week, in Spring Twists. My braids have always turned out very nice, and I've never had any issues with braids slipping out, or coming undone. Other stylists have braided my hair so tightly that I lost more hair around my edges, or I had to take some braids down. That has never been an issue with Britney. She's a gentle braider, and she's fast. All three of my hair styles only took around five hours to complete. The prices at Dream of Kalamazoo are reasonable; about average for this area of Michigan actually. Of course, she charges more than people who braid out of their homes, but I believe it's worth it because, one, she's a professional and, two, she takes pride in her work. I'd rather pay a bit more for a quality experience than waste time and money on some random stylist I found on Craigslist. I have had A LOT of bad experiences with hair stylists over the years, so I go into hair appointments expecting the worst. Britney was a pleasant surprise. I'm so glad I found her shop! It's a relief knowing I can get my hair done in town instead of having to go to Lansing or Grand Rapids.

She's still located in Kalamazoo and I'm on the East Side of the state now, but that hasn't stopped me from making a trip to see her to get my hair done. She's the only person I trust with my hair to do a good job. I can be indecisive sometimes with what I want and it's like she reads my mind. I've truly never had a bad experience going to her. She gets the coloring just right and the cut perfect. We usually cut about 6 inches off each time, add layers and thin it out a bit.
