What a beautiful coffee shop! I love the open and bright feeling. There are a variety of seating options - soft seating, a few 2 & 4 top tables, bar/counter seating, and the most beautiful long table with plants set out on it surrounded by log style seating with cushions. So many cozy places to vibe. It's possible to reserve little sections of the shop for group events too. The menu is standard coffee shop offerings and I loved the espresso spritz that I got - I've never had a coffee that made me feel like I was drinking a cocktail before! The baked goods were high quality and tasty. The barista crew was super kind and friendly. They seemed to enjoy working together and went out of their way to be chatty and friendly towards me. Their little merch selections was super hard to resist - they sell cute totes and cups including clay cups which was unique. I loved their community focus and sustainability. We happened upon this wonderful spot by chance whilst camping at Muskegon State Campground. I was immediately drawn to the interior decoration, creative corner for the kids, delicious coffee, and sustainable business model. Everything tasted phenomenal and we relaxed for a better part of an hour drawing, reading, and taking in the smell of live plants while listening to soothing cafe tunes. Across the way there is a beautiful boutique store with cute clothes and jewelry. They had paper bags to decorate for the kid's food basket along with print offs for kids to color. I loved their little library of books to curl up to. This place felt like a refuge to sit, relax, and be creative. Thankful these places exist. They make a killer cappuccino- reminded me of Italy. Strong and small. Definitely check out this place if you need to be caffeinated or want a gf cookie. I like it the most for the vibessssss. read more

Such a cute coffee shop! Stopped by for a quick coffee during my business trip in Muskegon. It was near my hotel and definitely did not disappoint. I am glad they open early and parking is decently convenient. The lady who took my order was very nice and provided recommendations. I chose the maple spice latte she recommended and it was yummy! We love coming to Aldea for a caffeinated treat on Saturday mornings. The baristas are welcoming and great at their craft. The atmosphere is relaxed, sunny and social, but not loud or chaotic like some coffee shops. I adore their matcha latte and my partner enjoys a mocha or hot chocolate now and then, along with a scone or muffin. One of my favorite places to catch up with friends! This is an absolutely wonderful place to chill. The vibes are always good for talking and hanging out with friends, just taking some time to yourself, or doing some work. The drinks are good, the prices are good, the baristas are knowledgeable and very friendly. I love that there are so many different types of seats. There is a little bar type seating area, a couple regular tables, some couches and arm chairs, and a little corner with floor seating. They also play good music. It's nice that they are in the same building as the 794 kitchen and bar, Capone's, and several other businesses. There is street parking all over, plus some parking lots in the back of the building. read more

This is my first time at Aldea Coffee in Muskegon, MI. And I have to say, walking into this place feels like a breath of fresh air. It's very industrial with the high ceilings, exposed brick, wood accents, and tin ceilings. I'm from Grand Rapids, and this place has a GR vibe for sure. I loved it. I ordered a Cafe Miel and it was delicious. The service is also really great. I decided to make my own little spot to sit that didn't have a table to set my coffee on (didn't think about that when I sat down), and when the barista came to bring me my drink, he also pulled up a little table to meet me where I was at. It was really nice! Great customer service, great products, great ambience. This is the kind of atmosphere Muskegon needs more of. Clean, crisp, "hip" (for risk of sounding old haha), and inviting. Will definitely return when I come back to Muskegon. read more

It's a little weird that there is only one size for every drink, which looks to be about 10 ounces, so $5 for a small chai latte seems a bit steep since that makes it more expensive than Starbucks. In addition, they don't have any artificial sweetener packets, which is great than they are "all natural," but difficult when people are on special diets and can only use specific sweeteners. read more

But this is more chic, open and bright (window wall, light woods and light colored brick). Both are great, just different. The coffee, I had a light roast washed process Nicaraguan pour over, beyond great! Listed as light, floral and lively and it was!! My wife had a maple pice latte (it's thanksgiving) and loved it.
