Dr. Smith was compassionate and listened to my issues and my symptoms. She began helping me with various Treatments and I can honestly say at this time the Covid fatigue is 85% resolved and I've been able to start walking and gardening again. I cannot recommend Dr. Smith enough. I truly believe that she has helped improve my quality of life at a level that's hard to express. I continue to work with her on my chronic back pain and some other system issues and I am absolutely certain that I will continue to get better, I cannot thank her enough! If you're looking for a compassionate, professional, skilled and honest practitioner, Dr. Smith should be your first choice!!

I wholeheartedly wish I could post a positive review, but that would not be an honest thing to do…read more I began my work with Gordana earlier this year, so excited to meet with an acupuncturist who seemed to be caring, skilled and a good listener. I filled out my initial intake form, and was excited that she read through it and discussed my symptoms with me. As the weeks went by though, Gordana didn't really ask me about the improvement of my symptoms -- but I overlooked this, assuming that she maybe was noticing them improving somehow. I was very optimistic. The idea that she was not focused on my improvement lingered in my mind, but I tried to ignore it. On another occasion, she recommended an herbal formula to me, and after my buying it from her (pricey, by the way) she never asked me about my progress with it again. Still, I overlooked this, figuring she must've forgotten this too, and... everyone forgets things here and there, right? Sigh. So I continued to give her chances, and my next red flag happened when she seemed very distracted and nervous during an appointment. I felt she wasn't particularly present with me, and actually left a needle in my leg after she said she'd removed all of them. Yikes! I only felt it as itchy, not painful, but I found it worrisome that my acupuncturist left a needle in my leg at a pretty obvious point. It not only made me distrust her, it also made me feel sad that perhaps this was not the practitioner for me after all. With great hope (and naivety), I gave it a few more tries. The next red flag happened when I started noticing her flustered and distracted, continuously, both before, during and after our appointments. Gordana would be speaking with me, walk out of her office, speak with another person, move me to the acupuncture room, and then have me wait while she finished talking to someone else, leaving me in the interim to wait before I paid for my session. Goodness, I not only felt unimportant to her as a client, at this point, this also really hurt my feelings, and made me feel disrespected as a human being. I gave it one more try, and the last straw came when I was feeling stabbing pain at a tender acupuncture point during a session. So, I rang and rang and RANG the little bell, but still, she never came. She was distracted, and I was having an actual emergency. How terrible it was, to be ignored by a wellness practitioner, when I really needed her. This was when I left, and never returned. Perhaps Gordana is too well-connected now to care about her clients, and I feel very sad for that. I recently asked a friend of mine, who's also been visiting Gordana for a little while "Have you noticed anything strange about Gordana's sessions?" And he shrugged his shoulders said, "Oh they're fine, I guess, and she's nice. She is totally distracted though, but I think I'm getting better, or at least, not worse." So here's the end of my review. I hope you will not make the same mistakes I made, in continuing to see someone who didn't care about my well-being. Make sure you feel heard, respected and that your acupuncturist tracks your improvement. And, that she's not too distracted to care about you when you're in pain. Respectfully, D.G.
