QGAT is a play on words with the name of the city Sant Cugat, and is not only a restaurant located…read morein a wonderful masia (old farmers house repurposed) but it is also one of the most charming boutique hotels around. Secluded, hidden in between freeways and companies...it is an oasis of peace and luxury. Super happy it was in the list of 'to go' hotels for business tripping at work. So of course I rather spend a little bit more time in taxi than being in a less personalized and charming hotel (in fact this belongs to the hotels with charm chain!).
The personnel is very professional, ladies with suits and cute scarfs, like flight attendants. I asked for a room facing the patio and my wish was granted. Room was very modern and comfortable and even if I had issues with maneuvering the door facing the patio, my call was promptly picked up and issue solved in less than 15 minutes.
The masia is so pretty and modern design everywhere. I loved all the details from the inside and the outside, but the most attractive to me was the blending the modern with the tradition: the roof to provide shade in the terrace was made from the bottom of handmade baskets. Very original and visually appealing, plus effective.
