Located near St Michel metro, the store is very close to the Latin Quarter as well as the Jardins de Luxembourg. Dealing in more than genres, Gibert has the ability to find you browsing for hours as you move from Reggae to Rock to Avant-Garde to Celtic to pretty much anything else. But it gets even better, as they also stock a lot of very well-priced 2nd-hand music and also deal in hard-to-find music magazines (such as Punk Planet) at very reasonable prices. They introduced me to various sci-fi, fantasy and adventure series when I first started learning French. Even three years later I find myself always going to the shop. The guys who work there are super cool, always remember your recent purchases, and always have great staff picks. They also have a fidelity program for repeat customers. Their shop is small, but always stocked with the best choices. I also recently was able to order a hard-to-find Mobius BD, that I failed to hunt down online. Lastly, they stay open until 20h30 (Mon - Sat) so it's easy for me to pop-in and grab a volume after a late day at the office.
