I would never recommend Albion Taxis. I'm easy to please: I expect a taxi to take us where we want to go. Albion Taxis managed to fail at such a basic thing.
We booked Albion to take us to a special dinner during a weekend break in Stirling. As it was a Saturday evening, we reserved a taxi over the phone that afternoon. But when our pick-up time came and went, we rang Albion and they denied we'd ever made a booking.
It is bad enough they lost our reservation but they also refused to acknowledge their mistake and make it right. I was first told that their next availability wasn't until 10 p.m., and then 2 minutes later the manager said the next availability wasn't until midnight (trying to get me to go away?). She also hung up on me twice, yelled at me, and was extremely rude in telling me she wasn't going to do anything to help make it right.
How difficult would it have been for Albion to give a customer the benefit of the doubt and send one of their drivers to pick us up, better late than never? Mistakes happen but they ought to be rectified, and politely (is that asking a lot?).
Anyway, we missed our reservation at the restaurant and never did get to that special dinner. Instead, we ate crisps and chocolate in our hotel room that night. Classy.
So, if you expect dependable service, don't count on Albion Taxis. They might let you down and yell at you when you ask them to make it right. read more
