It was convenient, location wise, and I needed to make a quick stop for basic travel stuff, and that's how I ended up here. I forgot for a second this was a Supercenter and laughed off the fact that its size is gonna force me to take a little longer to find what I need. Whoa, this place, though! Off the bat CLEAN. Everywhere I looked, everything was organized and placed where they should all be. It made me wonder if they had staff who just go around making sure of this. As previously mentioned, this place is huge and yet I found it uncharacteristically easy finding my stuff. WHAT?! All but a couple of cashiers were open so getting out was just as convenient. Cashier was nice and cheery. Service with a smile is always good. How I wish the miniscule Walmart located closer to home followed the standards of this colossal store. Matter of fact, they should ALL be like this, Supercenter or otherwise. It might just change the not-so-stellar reputation Walmart generally has! Someday, maybe...

I'm reviewing this Mountain Home Walmart only. I wouldn't even know this was a Walmart unless the sign was up because I've never encountered such friendly and helpful people at any Walmart I've ever shopped at. The clerks. Every one of them. They were friendly and helpful. Then the manager interacted with me over recalled cucumbers but THANKFULLY he found some I could buy. Those were the best cucumbers I've ever purchased at a store, and I'm so grateful he let me buy more. This mountain home Walmart is the best Walmart I've ever visited. I'm SO impressed, thank you so much for making my thanksgiving meal A+ when I'm away from home and family this year.

I've made GO my go to store while on vacation here in MHI because I'm actually sick of all the advertising those corp stores do to deceive you into using their rewards "program" (more like legal slavery. My husband is pretty classic and just got a cheese pizza. He wanted to do half and half but it wasn't an option. One of the cons of ordering off a kiosk instead of a person. The pizza was handed to us right from the oven. Piping hot! That baby was loaded with cheese. Not one dry spot on the pizza! It did cool a bit by the time we got home but the cheese pull was still there! For a grocery store pizza, it's actually pretty good! This pizza was 10 bucks and an extra dollar to have them bake it for you. Can't go wrong with an 11 dollar pizza. No delivery fee. No tip needed. You cactus beat that!

You can feel the discount vibe in places - bag your own groceries- but overall it's a higher class discount market. Preferred items that beat out competitors - sushi, fried chicken, deli cheeses selection, premade pizza to bake at home, and bakery breads and bagels baked in store. I prefer their fresh baked bagels to any speciality bagel store. Items lacking - deli sliced meats not great and lack of cake offerings, plus the packaged bakery baked sweets not that great. Lower selection of some item variety but not that many items I cannot find. Love the produce area, good quality and prices. Paper towels are my fav, price is so low! Staples are cheaper here (canned, jars, dry items like pasta, oatmeal, peanut butter, etc.) than anywhere else. Great selection of grab and go meals at excellent prices. Prices have been terrible on eggs here lately. Watch signs for a price for 1 box of eggs but in small print they charge much more for the 2nd or more box of eggs the same size. The prices vary so watch labels and ads for deals.

I've never seen him without a smile on his face and he always gives you a wave if he's outside. If you need anything they are more than willing to get it in for you and make sure you're taken care of. There aren't many hometown stores or people like them anymore and I always look forward to going in, getting my stuff and enjoying a chat with everyone in there! Not to mention their beer selection is incredible and their meats...drool worthy!!!
