watched their plane run out of gas while attempting to drop students out, right above the runway at 12,000'. pilot had to make a mayday call and couldn't even land on the runway having to ditch in a field. That kind of laziness in aviation will get someone killed! read more

Alberta Skydive Central is Western Canada's most rockin' drop zone... These gals and guys know how to send it; and send it; AND SEND IT!! Firstly, the newly renovated hangar facility is awesome!! Secondly, the staff are AMAZING!! (World class experience so close to home!). Thirdly, ASC is one of the best managed, most professionally run, and most fun drop zones that I've had the privilege of fun-jumping!! Fourthly... Such a fast plane! Alberta Skydive Central is one of only a couple of mega-large skydiving centers in Canada. It is the result of a recent merger between several of the top skydiving centers in the country: Edmonton Skydive, Skydive Big Sky and Calgary Skydive. Our 14,000 foot skydives are the highest tandem jumps in Canada. We are now the largest student training facility in the country and have modern, best in class facilities. History

Established in 1985.

In 1985, Edmonton Skydive opened as a small skydiving center north of Edmonton. In 2006, Skydive Big Sky began skydive operations out of the Innisfail Airport. Both Edmonton Skydive and Skydive Big Sky grew significantly from 2010 through 2017, both acquiring large turbine aircraft and expanding their operations as successful and industry leading skydive centers. In 2018, Edmonton Skydive acquired Alberta Skydivers Ltd at the Beiseker Airport and rebranded it to Calgary Skydive. The skydive center ran successfully and also experienced strong growth and interest from the Calgary market. In January of 2019, all three skydive centers merged into one new mega skydive center, officially known as Alberta Skydive Central. Now one of the country's largest skydive centers, we're continuing to serve the Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer areas, and looking to continue to provide industry leading, best in class skydiving services and good times!

Ten years of corporate marketing experience for a billion dollar company, more than 7000 skydives, Joey holds almost every skydive rating possible. He remains a competitive skydiver, capturing a Gold medal in the Canopy Piloting discipline of Zone Accuracy at the 2017 Canadian National Championships.

I booked my original appointment online a day ahead of my desired date. I had just spent a week in Banff and planned to top off my amazing adventure trip with one final adventure. Unfortunately, the weather on the day was terrible right up until my appointment time. Gratefully, the staff at Skydive Extreme was so accommodating and moved my appointment to the next hour. The weather cleared up and was gorgeous by the time we had been given our jumpsuits, harness and training. My tandem master, Scott, was the absolute best. He let me know what to expect and made me feel super comfortable. He also documented the entire experience, which I paid for as a part of my package. The plane was super tiny and especially packed with only the pilot and the 4 jumpers onboard. It was hard to maneuver but it was expected. When it was time to jump, I was overcome by excitement and a sense of peace that only God could give me. The jump was quick and amazing! The view was phenomenal! So gorgeous. Free falling is the most amazing feeling that is indescribable. It was freezing up there so next time I will ask for a flight cap for my ears. Scott let me steer the parachute and we twisted and turned in the air. The wind really helped to keep us going for a while. It was awesome. Finally we landed softly and I was in nirvana. I honestly can say it was the most amazing experience of my life. I'm so glad I made the decision to come here for my Skydive. I only wish I could do it again with the same team but I live thousands of miles away. I'll definitely plan another trip as soon as possible.
