You can get all your basics here, but if you want fine wine and other specialty items you should supplement by going to the nearby cheese shop, butcher, fish monger, wine/spirits shop, and bakery. The staff is very friendly and helpful, prices are reasonable, and it's clean with plenty of variety. Heads up: we have to use cash here. Like many other stores in Diemen, they do not accept credit cards of any kind, and would also not accept our debit (visa-issued) cards. They do accept Maestro debit cards (which are European and we don't have). So come with cash!

Last time I ate at this place was 7 years ago (used to work near Bijlmer Station and frequented the place at least once a week) and I was recently delighted to find out they have literally stepped up their game: Brouwerij 't IJ beer in the fridge and a unparalleled (except maybe only to Roopram) roti production line in the front. If you are a Surifood enthousiast (which I am), happen to work in the area (which I did) or just happen to be around or within travel distance, this place is worth the visit. Now, beyond cookies, this is an organic shop that is really top notch. They pack a lot into a little store, and I don't have trouble finding things. It's like they actually think about it and designed the store for ease of use (novel concept, I know!). The brands they stock here are fantastic. They sell about 6 types of lentils, a great selection of fresh produce (some interesting, non-traditional veggies, too!), herbs, spices, almond milk, snacks to go, bread, coconut milk and what seems like almost every type of 'super food' out there. The fruit and vegetables are taken care of very well, no bruises on your peach. The bananas are on a display that has a "mattress" for them for God's sake. Awesome selection of non-dairy milks and healthy products too. The gluten-free section is not as well stocked as AH but they have great stuff, even fresh. They bought the whole area, c1000 and also the part where Rabobank used to be at the Brazillie Winkelcentrum, so the supermarket is huuuge! When it first opened I found some of the lines moved toooo slowly but they have a thing where the 4th in line doesn't pay, so make sure to ask for your rights as a consumer.
