I was actually able to drop it off a few minutes before my 8am appointment and was surprised to hear it would ready in 2 hrs. I decided to hang around the neighborhood and found there are quite a few nice eating spots a short walk away. I normally try to give business to the Auto shops that advertise in my local church newsletter but to my disappoiment they always seem to be the most expensive and require me to drop off early an pick up late. I was actually trying to make an appointment with one of the advertisers, for this work, but they couldnt even bother replying to me. Their loss was a win-win for me. They are conveniently located near the 59th Street bridge/off Northern Blvd. They also don't mind working on late model cars and my Volvo S70 is kept in good repair, though on more than one occasion the guys at BKM have given me solid advice & saved me money on repairs not needed. That is a rare attribute in a car repair shop and is why I trust them. They went the extra mile for me on more than one occasion, fixing a part rather than replacing it. Plus being a dog-friendly shop means I bring my pup to hang out in the waiting room while they work. If you need work done by an honest shop, you can't go wrong here. I hired this mechanic to replace 2 tensioners, and 1 belt. I opted not to belt the second…read moretensioner because it only supplied power to the A/C which did not work on this specific vehicle. Within 150 miles the tensioner belonging to A/C completely falls out while driving. Followed by the breaking of the belt controlling both the alternator and power steering. After taking it to an actual shop, and not just some "Mr.fixit" off the street, I had to listen to the mechanic there tell about how the tensioner for the alternator was also improperly put it. Personally I don't care, I've moved on with my life, but for some reason this Mr.fixit keeps sliding into my DM's telling me how I am a child, how I supplied Chinese parts, and how the second belt REALLY would helped out the integrity of the tensioner that fell out.... lol. So here I am updating my review. Also most of the 5 star reviews on this mechanic come from accounts with zero history on Yelp. Literally accounts that were created reviewed 1 business then did nothing else, seems legit. Cheers.
