Don't get confused by their meat/butcher shop on the street. Avoid the trucks and vespas delivering bread and other stuff elsewhere. They have a deli section in the back the guy told us to get what bread (rolls) what we wanted first and bring it to him and he cut what the deli meat, cheese, etc and made the sandwich. (The had pre-made sandwiches but we prefer the made to order sandwiches. Both at the deli section and bakery section they give you a receipt and you pay at the cashier. In back by the deli section you can buy cold drinks, milk juice etc. Cookies and fruit tarts were also excellent. We noticed they had gulden free bread available as well. Lots of locals shopping here. We got buy by pointing and holding up our fingers. They were used to foreigners here. Since we have a few more days and renting any apartment we plan to come back here for breakfast and lunch items. Great place!

It is a little hard to get to but if you take the train and get off at ercalano/portici, it is about an 8 min walk uphill. The walk may also be difficult if you have luggage because there is a lot of garbage on the streets and uneven pavement. It is situated in a small town so you will find a lot of local salumeria shops. The staff here were all very warm and friendly. We enjoyed eating at their restaurant too. It wasn't too expensive and fairly priced. Their morning breakfast was great. The outdoor area was lovely. The one tip I have though is that you should wear a lot of mosquito protection because you'll be bitten constantly.
