We ordered four trays of appetizers for our daughter's wedding. I'd seen the beautiful work they did on their website and discussed with Suzie what we needed for the day. I got so much good information and help from her! Pick up was easy, and the trays were beautiful and packed full. Chicken skewers, veggies, olives, fruit, and deviled eggs. We laid them out for the cocktail hour and the guests basically devoured everything. I was lucky to get fruit for the wedding couple. I heard it was all delicious. Even the planner and venue owner were amazed. Amazed at how beautiful the trays were and amazed at how fast they went. I will definitely order from this company again. If any of the wedding guests are involved in my next soirée, I'll order double;) read more

Susie and her crew went above and beyond for our special day! We absolutely loved all the food served, and it was so beautifully put on display. Everything was fresh and so very delicious! The hot foods were hot, and cold kept cold. The food was plentiful and her staff were all so friendly and professional! Truly loved having them be a part of our special day, and would highly recommend them to others! Thanks again Susie!! read more

I would not recommend Alaska Coastal Catering! False advertising on there website. This is what we ordered the Appetizer platter X 2 Instead we ended up with one fruit platter with just a few pieces of chicken skewers on the side! and then the other one had a few I mean a few pieces of sausage on the side. Compared photo below! read more

Alaska Coastal Catering - What we ordered Appetizer Platter and then what we got fruit platter! - Caterers Near Me

Susie and her crew to an amazing job to bring delicious food to any event within any budget. We recently had a big corporate event in our office and Susie came up with great ideas to help us wow our guests. One of them was an 8 foot tall totem pole made of carved watermelons. Susie used to do catering for Disney so she knows how to bring the magic. The crew was very friendly and professional and did a great job of walking around during the event and picking up plates and glasses. read more

Earlier this summer I attended a wedding where Alaska Coastal Catering provided the food. The Copper River sockeye was nothing but mush and the "cooked" carrots were anything but. (They were impossible to cut with a plastic knife and fork they were so raw.) I'm pretty sure I saw the chicken skewers that were served for sale at Costco. While the presentation was nice, everything we ate was either average or below. The folks serving looked as if they wanted to be elsewhere. No smiles, no positive interaction with us as we went through the line. I honestly felt for the bride and groom, as I know good food and service really matter to them. They received neither. read more

We worked with Susie and Alaska Coastal Catering for our wedding, and everything was just as beautiful as it was delicious. Susie was great to work with, down to earth, open, and honest (which I really appreciated). 10/10 would recommend for any catering need! read more

I've personally experienced Susie and her event divas three times: once for a fundraiser for Josh Jennett; for a chocolate truffle party, and; finally when I hired her to do a catered lunch for Alaska Business Network. Each time her food and services were phenomenal! (Her Alaska Seafood chowder cooked with Alaska vodka is to die for!) I will use her exclusively for any catered event, whether it's for a small personal dinner or a large sitdown dinner or even a barbeque. Her set up is creative, her food is good and her utensils are clean. Please consider her for any occasion. read more

SECOND TIME POSTING SINCE SHE DELETES BAD REVIEWS I attended a wedding where Sue catered the meal with her staff. Had this been a budget-savvy wedding, the results that were recieved might be more understandable. Instead, this was a very nice wedding held at a very expensive hanger in a beautiful and remote location. The catering team had a very nice kitchen to use, their tickets to the location paid for, and help if they needed it. Unfortunately what we got I would NEVER want to serve guests. First issue: There were supposed to be appetizers at the wedding itself, so guests who arrived early had something to snack on. They never arrived. The catering crew got lost and could not figure out where to go. Please note, there were a-frames everywhere, a huge sign in the town square, and several car loads of people going to the same place. This is a TINY Alaskan town, so it's pretty hard to miss a party like this. Second issue: What was asked for was grilled chicken, bamboo wrapped salmon, risotto and grilled veggies. What we got was chicken skewers (the packaged, pre-grilled ones from Costco WHICH SHE TOLD THE GUESTS), bamboo salmon (some over cooked, some under done, and yes some were decent), some sort of rice mix (which the caterer changed on one invoice without notifying anyone via email or phone), and veggies that were practically raw and displeasing to many guests. Conclusion? Alaska Coastal Catering does not deserve the rating it has if this is how she caters other events. I hope this was just one event where they really dropped the ball. read more

Susie and professional staff catered our wedding reception in high style! How do I love them? Let me count the ways. Arrangements were easy and lots of wonderful suggestions to make the event even more special...right down to best place to check on weather! Lots of food choices to fit every budget. Susie and crew prepared on site, set up beautiful and classy presentation, stayed through event to keep everything looking fresh AND stayed after to pack up left overs for guests! But most of all, we were made to feel this was the best wedding rexception ever....AND IT WAS! read more

Awful customer service. The product did not match the website examples to which she said her website hasn't been updated in 5 years because no one uses it, yet its still linked to her Facebook. She has 2019 photos on there too so it seems a bit like a lie. Regardless I was very cordial in my feedback to which she ignored, i would have been happy with her validating my concerns and I never once asked for a refund. I decided to leave a Facebook review after I received no response in which she berated me and tried to gaslight and manipulate me. Pretended like she was going to refund me to manipulate the situation, which she had never said she would as she never responded to our texts, but now that I had left a do not reccomend review that she would no longer be refunding me. read more

We have used Susie and the Event Divas for many occasions - both in our home and in our office. She has always delivered a spectacular arrangement and delicious menu. The food has gotten so many wonderful compliments from our guests. It has always been original, of the highest quality and in the appropriate amount for our guests. Her pairings of wines with the menu have been spot on. Her staff has always been extremely courteous and professional. They insure our guests are comfortable without being intrusive. We would highly recommend Susie and the Event Divas for all your catering needs! Kathy and John read more

Went to a friend's wedding that was being catered by Alaska Coastal Catering. There were not enough appetizers for us, and they were not provided during the wedding (we were told there would be appetizers at the wedding AND the reception, but there were none at the wedding site). During the reception, food was under cooked (vegetables and my salmon, though I was told by other guests that their salmon was overcooked). The chicken was bland. Sauce was provided, but there were no flavor options if you didn't like the sauce. The chicken itself was not seasoned at all. The lady that was there for catering was all over the place, in places that had nothing to do with catering and with so many catering issues, I would have thought the priority would have been fixing those problems first. They were not on time to the event and seemed to be causing issues for a number of people in the wedding party. This was all pretty obvious to us as guests. Just not very professional. I would definitely think twice before hiring this company, despite the good reputation the family is associated with. read more

Absolutely fantastic! Susie was such a pleasure to work with for our wedding. She made sure that the menu was exactly what we wanted and even made sure that we had to-go bags (something I didn't realized would be so appreciated after such a long day). Her and her staff were incredibly professional and provided a great presentation...and our guests are still talking about that prime rib! read more

Susie at Alaska Coastal Catering provides first class service for all your needs. She is always available and follows up promptly. Our Christmas party had several scope changes and budgets. She went above and beyond to accommodate our party, delivery was on time and the presentation was beautiful. Staff remarked at the high quality of the food choice, the meat and vegetarian options, the assortment of chees and fruit, everything so fresh. A tough order in Alaska. I would recommend her for a small gathering to a large corporate event. read more

Susie is absolutely amazing! I felt way over my head with an event and she helped keep me on track and coordinated with the bartender to make sure everything was taken care of on time. The food was fantastic and beautiful to behold. I love that she keeps everything bundled and, best of all, no plastic! I won't hesitate to use her again. read more
