Left my group that I was with and took off to the other side of the city and found this place. It was perfect. Spent a bunch of time talking to the staff and some other patrons about punk in the US and the UK and got some great local recommendations from them (though wish someone had recommended Frank Turner to me then - I was practically on his doorstep and now I love him lol). Staff is not to helpful or attentive. (constantly on the phone, pretty loud so you could hear the whole conversation, which was pretty awkward!) We went here twice. Make sure to come on a Tuesday/Wednesday if you can, lots of the records will be half price, compared to the wknd!

After living so close to this shop for year and never actually going in to spend a serious amount of time browsing here, I feel like I've committed a crime. Their tag line is "Friendly service, record and book finding service". Perfect for a Saturday morning hangover browsing session. I could spend a while in here. It's not huge, but perfectly formed and reasonably priced. They even have a vintage clothing section at the bottom although I couldn't quite pull myself away from the records to have a look. I will be back. They have a huge selection of classics, not just the crusty records you find in other second hand vinyl stores. A must for any music collector.

While in London earlier this month, I wanted to hit up some record stores; Flashback being towards…read morethe top of the list. I hit up a couple Flashback locations but this one was definitely my favorite. It had some of the UK stuff that I was looking for, (I hail from the US), and at reasonable prices. I was in the shop for about an hour pursuing my sections/artists and taking second looks at the items in my stack and the employees let me do my thing and didn't bother me, which is always really appreciated. All of the stuff that I was looking for was on the main level, but they do have more vinyl in the basement, which is where I paid for my items. The employees were nice and understood that it was my first time in their shop and I didn't know the process of things. I loved this record shop and will definitely stop by here when I'm in London again!

To be honest the guy that owns it is a bit of a rip off merchant I sold him some old Reggae records…read morethat they said they was asking for and I know that some I had were rare and old and when I took them to him he offered me cheap money and said that they was not old enough being that my records were from the late 60s going through to the 70s how old dose he want them concidering true Reggae didnt start till roughly 1968/69 makes me think he really dose not know what he is on about or as I said a ripp off merchant, by the way I excepted his offer because I needed the money so beware when you go there

Stopped by here a few days ago. Deals seemed great so I picked up five records. I was in a rush so…read moreonly briefly checked discs, which were all in great condition. The woman in the store was very helpful, directed me to a cashpoint so that I could buy the vinyl, took out the discs so that I could check the condition despite my hands being full. When I arrived home I realised that 4 of the 5 records were bootlegs. I was definitely naïve believing that the records were real, but counterfeit records aren't something I've ever encountered before. If you want official pressings, avoid this place.

Even if you don't buy anything, it is worth passing through just to pick up on the vibes that are schmoozing through the stereo and have a little dance. Oh yeah, prices. They are good. It specialises in music from the 1950s rockabilly, blues and r&b, with some 1960s garage, beat and soul, a bit of 1970s punk and powerpop, and more recent bands with those kind of influences.
