Left my group that I was with and took off to the other side of the city and found this place. It was perfect. Spent a bunch of time talking to the staff and some other patrons about punk in the US and the UK and got some great local recommendations from them (though wish someone had recommended Frank Turner to me then - I was practically on his doorstep and now I love him lol). I hit up a couple Flashback locations but this one was definitely my favorite. It had some of the UK stuff that I was looking for, (I hail from the US), and at reasonable prices. I was in the shop for about an hour pursuing my sections/artists and taking second looks at the items in my stack and the employees let me do my thing and didn't bother me, which is always really appreciated. All of the stuff that I was looking for was on the main level, but they do have more vinyl in the basement, which is where I paid for my items. The employees were nice and understood that it was my first time in their shop and I didn't know the process of things. I loved this record shop and will definitely stop by here when I'm in London again!

This little record shop in Camden specializes in soul, jazz, rock, reggae and punk music as well as…read morehaving a good collection of posters and special edition prints. When i entered, the owner looked particularly cool as he stood behind the counter wearing a shirt and flat cap, carefully trying to examine something on the back of a record sleeve (he was holding right up to his nose). I liked the poster room which is on a split level between the entrance floor and the basement. There were quite a few special editions made by steam power posters that pictured artists such as Bob Dylan and film stars like the 1920s actress Clara Bow. Generally the music seems to lean towards groups from the 1970s and 80s such as the Beatles, the Clash, Trojan records and so on. So no 'nu' stuff here for any young trendy 'scenesters', but a good collection none the less.

There are a lot of stores but in terms of quality it's hit and miss. This store looked promising, small but promising, however, was disappointed in the selection and the prices for common okay condition titles. The dart board pricing is what confused me to be honest. It was cramped and I didn't have patience for the store after 10 minutes of thumbing through some commons.

They have a very large selection of children's books and readers that is supplemented by Black academic and fiction titles, greeting cards, jewelry, and clothings.
