When I first met with Joe, he was very personable and gave good advice/suggestions! Sometimes, we think we know what we want, but when it gets close to getting done...not so much! Do It All Contracting had reasonable rates/pricing; e.g. another contractor was going to charge $20.00 more per hour for the electrical work. I was very satisfied with the workmanship and the work was completed on budget and schedule!

The folks working on his behalf made numerous mistakes, causing the project to go over time (by multiple weeks) and over budget, to the point we terminated working with them and had to finish the project ourselves (which was more time and more money for us). If Joe had been on site, it may have gone differently, but in the end, it was a very upsetting experience. Looking online, I see only the positive, raving reviews, but the company has been in business for so long that I wonder where the other reviews are...? If your project is unusual at all, shop around.

Another contractor had to be paid to completely rip out the tile floor they laid out and redo everything again. Jessi was quick to quote and take the job; however, we discovered after the fact that they had no idea about putting in sub-floors or how to mix cement and grout. We could literally tap out the tiles after they had finished their job because there was so little gluing the uneven tiles to the flooring. The grout they had put was washing and dusting out for days after the job was supposedly complete. They left the area dirty and messy and tracked mud everywhere. All and all an absolutely horrible job. We tried to reach out to them to come and fix the job, but either they promised and did not show or they had an excuse of some sort, and then they wouldn't even answer our phone calls. Beware if you give them a job.

Ardent Roofing was one of the first to show up on a Google search, and the company's website looked professional and trustworthy. We obtained a quote which had good pricing compared to a few of the other companies we seeked out, and was actually cheaper than some other roofing companies. We had narrowed our choices down to two companies, Ardent Roofing and Rapid Roofing & Renovations. I asked both companies for references from previous satisfied customers, so that I could verify their workmanship before taking on such a large project. A man named Murl responded to me quite rudely that they "have lots of good references" but refused to give me any and just ended it at that (rude, short email), and told me I had better book with them now otherwise I won't get an appointment secured for the spring, as they get very busy. It was completely unprofessional and rude, and they clearly didn't want our business, because they were willing to give up a $15,000 project for a re-roof of house, garage, fascia, soffits and eaves - just because I asked them to provide references. I have never come across a home renovations company before that refused to provide references, so I find this really strange, and it is clearly just bad business tactics. Rapid Roofing, on the other hand, provided us with five references of the last five houses they re-roofed, and all of them gave us fantastic reviews, and some even gave me their addresses, so I could pop by and have a look at what a good job they did. It's a shame that one person representing what seems to be an otherwise successful company just ruined a job and lost the company out on thousands. If you're going to do a re-roof, I'd suggest going with Rapid Roofing (they also have a 10 year workmanship warranty and 25 year roof warranty, along with higher quality shingles).

To start with, our roof had double sided sticky underlay which meant that it took twice as long to take off, but they didn't charge more for the extra time it took. They also realized that the plumbing for our sewer vent was not installed properly so they made a trip to the hardware store and replaced it for us free of charge. They are truly a company with integrity and I would have no problems referring them to a friend.

I expected a delay but what was unexpected was when it took double the quoted time to build the house. This is not a large house, it is a 1400 sq/ft starter home! During the build they switched sales reps. The new one was a sarcastic, rude, unhelpful, jerk, who drove friends of ours away from buying homes with Homexx. I almost wish he was our sales rep, so that we had never built with them. The blamed everyone but themselves for the delay. Trades, Weather, and they apparently went through several site supers who managed the development "poorly" and they told us the new site super that was taking over was supposed to "clean up the disaster". He did not last very long and we only met him on our possession walk through. We finalized our build decisions and choices on November 2013, once we finally did take possession on October 29, 2014 the real problems started. We started dealing with their Service Coordinator. She was next to impossible to reach and when we finally did get a hold of her, she told us things were "scheduled to be finished in the next couple weeks" two weeks later when nothing had been done we would call back and she would blame the site super and say she was not the one that scheduled the trades but she would refuse to give us his contact information. She would tell us she would speak to him and get back to us but then we would not hear from her for weeks. When we got in touch with her the cycle would start all over again. "its scheduled to be completed in the next couple of weeks" nothing would get done, call in two weeks, and she would blame the site super. ARE YOU KIDDING!??? This company's customer service is atrocious. They couldn't be bothered to answer any questions you might have and it feels like a fight to get any level of commitment from them just to do what I paid them to do. It's a good thing I'm handy because I have resorted to fixing all the issues myself just so they get done at all, let alone in a timely manner. For example, it is now August 2015 and the front of our house has finally been painted. I can't even imagine what it would cost someone who isn't capable of doing repairs and renovations themselves. The only person who has ever been able to provide us with any answers was their sales manager. And getting in touch with her took a review on their facebook page and a complaint with the better business bureau. Take my advice. DO NOT BUILD WITH HOMEXX HOMES.

This is me and my wife simply telling a story of how we purchased our home and why. We were expecting our first child, living in a basement with two big dogs and on the hunt for a home for our growing family. We had just made a verbal agreement with a salesman from another company for a lot in a different development, that salesman went on vacation and our lot was sold to someone else. This made us decide to buy a previously owned home instead of having one built; we simply went into the Homexx show home to get interior design ideas. Not only is Danny extremely knowledgeable and helpful, he goes above and beyond any imaginable expectation one could have. He put up with tears, our stress, our worries (like I said a very stressful time to be building a home), and he really guided us from the moment we stepped foot into the show home until the moment we received the key and continues to the day to assist us. I never thought I could form a bond with a stranger the way I have with Danny, he has mastered not just the salesman aspect of his job, but the overall being a great person aspect that not many people have. We were so fortunate to have had Danny guide us in the right direction, his work ethic reflects who he is, and his dedication and commitment is something that will never be forgotten. He met us when my wife was pregnant and has watched our daughter grow and learn to walk in his show home! We were probably the most annoying clients, Danny showed up on my phone bill as one of my most contacted people... above my wife! But he always made us feel welcome to drop by, or call, or email. Regardless how many clients he had, or if he had prior commitments he always made us feel like we were a priority.
