The sparkling passion fruit and lighter wines had great aroma and freshness; the reds and blends were rich without being heavy. We left with some bottles. Do the vineyard tour to the top of the mountain if it's available. You get a ride from the lower vineyard through the forest and past the ponds up to the upper vineyard at about 2,400 feet. The views at the top are worth the time. Tasting fee is reasonable and waived with a bottle or better yet, become a member and get access to the special events and the vineyard tour. We got 2 bottle of Blossom one was a Rose which I highly recommend and the other I can't remember, but it was so refreshing. The tasting room is beautiful and spacious. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well. Chantel and Jen were amazing very friendly and accommodating. They are the best!! Before I left I did end up purchasing a bottle of Late harvest Riesling and bottle of sparkling Muscat. If you never been you have got to check them out. It's a great experience for sure. :)

We returned to Sonoma in 2026 with a small group and booked another tour. Booking and communication was a breeze. Very good. Ends up the property I rented offered a wine passport and we were to receive a discount. I called to confirm and they let me know the driver would apply the discount when we paid him the day of the tour. All sounded wonderful and was very clearly communicated. The tour in 2026 only went to 3 wineries. Two were just ok and one was not good. I don't think anyone on our tour purchased anything here. The time at each winery was like a typical tasting with some information on their winery. But no real information on Sonoma and Napa and the history of the area. At the end our driver had no clue on our discount and kept telling me he would get in trouble for charging me less. He insinuated I was making it all up. In the end he did honor the discount but seemed he did it as a favor not that it was a program that Platypus participates in. All in all I was disappointed in this wine tour and would no go on a platypus tour again and would not recommend them. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day. Luckily all the people on our tour were delightful so that made for a nice day.

The only thing that wasn't cool was that weather but thank goodness we were seated under a fan and a covering that had misters!!! What a great touch. The grounds were well manicured but we didn't walk around much due to the heat. And the price is so reasonable, my flight was only $10 and hers was $18. The food was in the $25 or so ballpark. Fast forward to present day, they have expanded to include wine tastings, and selling balsamic vinegars, wines, honey, beef jerky, and nuts. All local grown from Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation land. Very cool. They also sell kitchen and giftable items; and serve food made to order and also offering prepackaged to go. The staff are always so kind and helpful. The building and brewing facility is a beautiful architectural design. Even the outside landscaping and patio area are thoughtfully designed. The views are gorgeous overlooking the adjoining almond and olive orchards, and the Valley. The kind of scenery they put in sappy Hallmark movie backdrops. So darn lucky to live within driving distance. I have not tasted wine here before. But have tasted their olive oils and vinegars. Mmm. Actually we picked up some bottles since they had a sale and marked down some bottles from the prior year varieties. My favorite flavors of SH olive oil are Arbequina (classic EVOO) and Frantoio (this one has nutty, herby flavors with slight pepperiness). It's right off Route 16 and super close to the Cache Creek casino resort which is also a Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation venture. So if you happen to be at the casino, drive less than five minute to the tasting room. Plus if you need a rest stop for a restroom, Seka Hills tasting room has real nice ones.

I thought that was rude as hell. I only hope their wine that I purchased won't be as bad as the lack of customer service I didn't receive from either of those ladies. The man that greeted me had to come over from the restaurant side to help me as he worn himself how they ladies just left me so rudely. J told him that I knew nothing about wine and I needed advice on what to choose so I asked him what were the best options and he chose for me and I went with those choices. The inside was cute and chill with soft music playing. But thank God I don't ever want to come back here again not even to purchase a thing from this establishment.
