So five months into owning a home, I come home to see a notice that my gas had been cut off. I call Alagasco immediately after realizing I had never received a bill and thus never paid my gas bill. After explaining the situation over the phone the manager realized that they had been sending the bill to either the wrong person or the wrong name. I asked if they could refund the penalties I had acquired which turned my $80 bill into a $250 bill due to the fact that they had never directly notified me of termination. They refused a refund because they had apparently used an automated service to call and notify me of termination. I explained to them that due to the type of work I do, I'm not able to receive phone calls and there was never a voicemail. The managers response to this was "Sir, we understand that we have sent the bills to you in a different name, we also understand that the automated system doesn't leave voice mails and that you never received an email but it is your responsibility to notify us if you aren't recieving bills and due to this we don't think we have any responsibility to refund you anything." And to make matters worse, they refused to turn my gas back on that day, they told me that I had to be there to meet the technician when one arrived and that they couldn't tell me when he would arrive only that he would be there between eight am and five pm which caused me to miss a day of work. Look, I'm not mad about them turning my gas off, the bill wasn't paid, they have the right to terminate my service. I'm mad because they forced me to pay over three times the amount of my bill after admitting fault. I'm also mad that they refused to turn my gas back on that day and they couldn't give me an estimated time of a arrival to meet the technician. So to sum up my experience with Alagasco "customer service" department and customer value; I had to pay three times the amount of gas that I used, had to go over 24 hours without gas in the winter and had to take a day off of work to wait for the technician to arrive. Absolutely repulsive experience, I plan on eliminating all my business with this company after this winter!

I've visited the Revenue office, property tax office and driver's license office and not a smile, courtesy or personable customer service throughout any of these spaces. He used good repair methods, worked quickly and showed a professional approach to all of the work that he performed. He returned the plastic housing around the valve and backfilled the area around the housing. All of this was done under the light provided by a portable work light. Long Time Plumbing charged me $400 to remove a clog from my kitchen sink p-trap, during which water was spilled all over my kitchen floor, my own towels were used to mop it up, and then dirt and grime were tracked to and from my kitchen and back door. The lack of up-front pricing transparency was also disappointing. This same company also previously quoted me $300 to replace the water inlet valve of my washing machine (with parts I already had in my possession). Thankfully I called around and found somebody else to do it for $75. Long story short: The folks at Long Time Plumbing are nice enough, but they will charge you a premium price for basic work. Do yourself a favor and call around to get multiple estimates before going with Long Time. Your wallet may thank you.

They made us feel welcome and, it seems, we will be returning.

After checking on the inside of the house, Hogan the AUX Plumbing Technician checked the yard. He found the leak was coming from the pipe link just next to the meter. A steady stream of water was shooting down into the earth is the reason we didn't see water puddling up. He did a great job of repairing the problem. Really professional, friendly and courteous service. He was also knowledgeable of his craft. I definitely recommend him and his company if you have any Plumbing Work that's needed.
