I can only say one thing, sometime yesterday I got this overwhelming feeling to just reach out, and happened to come to the door and was greeted by a man, who welcomed me and sat down with me as we introduced ourselves. I had no idea the purpose of what initially brought me there but sitting down with Solomon, getting to know him and speaking about ourselves, I was in the company of a good man in the presence of God. Community, love, respect, a few things we as a country have to get back to, getting to know your neighbors, and it starts by reaching out. It's beautiful knowing that a lot of interfaith events are happening to bring the community together, but it all starts as individuals. I will say this, I was blessed to meet and be welcomed by a great man yesterday, and I am proud to be a resident in the community of such loving and welcoming people. I look forward to working together, learning together and just making our community a better place by educating the rest of the community to have open minds and hearts. Thank you for a simple and amazing experience, God bless my brothers and sisters.

Kedar Maharaj did an incredible job before and during our wedding and we cannot recommend him more…read morehighly. He has a wonderful mix of a traditional and modern approach that we, our families, and all of our guests loved. To start, he was highly organized and professional. We had video calls and text discussions to ensure all of the rituals were well planned in terms of flow and necessary items were prepared. In addition to the wedding ceremony, he led janoi and choora ceremonies which he did a tremendous job on. We loved how well he explained the meanings behind all of the rituals to us as well as our guests, which made the wedding ceremony, janoi, and choora rituals more engaging and spiritual with the added context. He was also so personable and friendly and we consider ourselves blessed that he was our priest for such an auspicious occasion.

Leading up the wedding, he answered all our questions over calls and texts to ensure we were all aligned and prepared for the ceremony. He even suggested a zoom call with myself, my husband, and both our Moms a few weeks before the wedding to talk through the whole ceremony to ensure there were no surprises on the day and we brought all the necessary items for the ceremony. During the ceremony, he did a great job explaining the meaning behind the different rituals and making the experience inclusive for all out guests. Many of our guests commented on how much they appreciated his approach and would love to have him lead their family members' future weddings, baby shower ceremonies, etc. Overall, I appreciated his attention to detail and his modern approach. We look forward to building a stronger relationship with Kedar Maharaj for future events.

We were deeply involved with our church in the Midwest, multiple ministries, growth groups and outreaches. We had grown very close with our church family. Leaving that church community was hard. We were determined to find a church community in town that we would feel comfortable in, could get involved, grow spiritually, learn the word and hopefully meet new friends that we could eventually call our church family here in California. Now there are many churches in Escondido and the surrounding areas and we tried a lot of them. Some were good, some weren't, some were big and some were small but we just couldn't find the one that fit just right. Several of our friends were attending the Orchard and had invited us to join them and give this church a try. Meh..... what's one more to tick off in what felt like our endless list? One service and we were home. No joke. Assad teaches the Bible, his sermons are to the point and relatable. I love that they have a handout each week with updates and fill in the blanks for following along with sermon notes. They really make it easy for you to go home and continue your study throughout the week. The people are so friendly too! Assad and his wife Summer are so welcoming, all of the volunteers are outgoing without being pushy. Jan has a gift for remembering your name even after meeting you just once so you will automatically feel like part of the family on your second visit. The church has multiple growth groups/Life groups so if you'd like to be connected that way there are plenty of options. There are children's classes and a youth group. Multiple ministries and outreaches you can be involved in. Don't worry though, you can take your time and get comfortable, no one will harass you! If you are looking for a community of people who love the Lord, believe in the Bible and preach from it, who think you are valuable, generally care for you and not see you as just a seat filler then this place just might be the perfect fit for you.
