The varieties of food look fresh. You can't go wrong with any choice. Chicken is delicious and so is the teres major steak ($15.98 new to me). However, I seem to get the most miserable employee, Joe. Not even a hello and slaps the food on the scale. Doesn't make you want to return.

Online hours say they close at 10:00 PM, but I was told they shut down at 9:30 PM because the worker "lives far." If that's the case, the hours need to be updated online. I ordered lunch for the first time via Grubhub. The wife enjoyed an order of eggplant rollatini. I…read moreordered a Cuban empanada and a pastrami/provolone/slaw hero. The rollatini was very good. The eggplant was tender and the filling very nice without being too heavy. The empanada was easily the best I have ever eaten. The shell was thin, light and flaky. The inside was very flavorful and plentiful. (They offer a vast selection of filling choices. Next time I might just order several knowing that it will be excellent). The hero was good but far from great. The pastrami needed to be sliced thinner and the coleslaw probably had cilantro in it of which I am not a fan. My suggestion is stick with the empanadas and the Italian offerings. Very nice!!

An older gentleman visually showed me the amount of oxtail they sell so I could get a feel for the size for my dish before buying it. And they were fast about cutting up my meats. They carry chicken, beef, goat and lamb. I've had lamb ribs from here before and the meat quite flavorful and cooked well. I imagine you can get many Indian, Pakistani, and Caribbean cut meats here. Always hard to find a place to cut chicken for Guyanese chicken curry! They also carry oils, snacks, rice, spices, and other halal treats. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of meat and amount you get. I got fatty pieces with bone so it may not look like that much meat in my photos. But I imagine if you needed meatier pieces, they would be priced fairly as well. There's a parking lot in front with limited spots but a lot of street parking nearby. They take cash, credit and maybe Apple Pay(?). Definitely coming back when I need to cook my Guyanese/Indian meat dishes.

Salmon was cooked perfectly, the hanger steak was a huge portion and we liked the cherries, we were disappointed with the fillet- i think we were accidentally given the smaller portion, although the check did say it was the larger. If i could order again, I would have got the Porterhouse; I wish the menu indicated the size of the porterhouse. We got the Parmesan truffle waffle fries, and the cheese gnocchi, and I recommend both. Desert was epic!!! We got the grasshopper Sunday to share, and ended up ordering another it was so good. Service was also outstanding, but at the end there was a lot of seatings in our section, so we waited about 15 minutes for our check. All in all, I still gave it five stars despite the fillet and wait at the end, as I thought the service was great otherwise.
