The adventure and tasty meal began with a lunch date earlier today where my wife called and said, "I'm stopping by the new butcher shop to get a sandwich!" She purchased a pastrami and cheddar sandwich on Rye bread. She could have bought a bag of chips and a drink as a lunch combo that was value priced. As it was, we enjoyed a high quality sandwich that was great tasting! They had homemade pimento cheese and potato salad that were served in small, medium or large containers to take home. This same style of service was a available for a whole menu of side dishes - not to mention the fresh butcher cut meats and cheeses available for purchase. Note the 2 page menu that I included in my review photos for more details! She enjoyed picking up lunch so much that she picked out the meatloaf and twice baked potatoes and dessert to bring home for dinner. After work, she popped the main entree and side dish in the oven for a quick 25 minutes resulting in a hot, homemade meal that was enjoyed by the whole family. The meatloaf was just what we wanted. It was not full of "extra" stuff. (We are plain meat and potatoes types). The beef was a high quality (not fatty) with a ketchup based meatloaf sauce. The potatoes were served with skins and a melted layer of cheddar cheese on top. The dinner portion that she brought home for our evening meal was $30 and we had leftovers to last for another meal or two! The sandwiches were also enough for more meals! We saved the 2nd half of the sandwich for lunch tomorrow!" The location is on a main thoroughfare adjacent to the Interstate 540 corridor - so it's convenient to the south side of Fort Smith close to the intersection of Old Greenwood Road and Phoenix (more specially right by Leigh Avenue and Phoenix Avenue). The family that owns this business also owns the shopping area that includes two other businesses next door to this shop - a pizza place and nice lunch/dinner restaurant featuring paired wines to accompany the meal (different reviews for those).
