However, when you are treated with kindness and compassion and dignity, it makes it that much easier. When I walked into the office, I was immediately greeted by Daylyn. She was sweet and listened about the negative experience I had at my previous mammogram location. She took the time to listen and really understood how I felt. A truly very special girl she is. After we finished my check in process, she brought me back to a room where I was able to change into my robe. The room was a lovely, peaceful room. The lockers were named with all strong women of history. It was very classy and a very relaxing room unlike my last place that had six chairs pushed up against each other with barely any legroom. Solis showed how much they support women with their actions. Soon, I was taken to the mammogram room by Logan. She was not only kind and compassionate, she asked me questions about who I was as a person and was very interested in hearing my story and sharing her own. When I left the office I realized how much they changed my feeling of having to get a mammogram. Once again, it's my opinion, if you use Solis as your mammogram facility, you will be extremely satisfied on how you're treated, unlike my last experience at another company, which I will never return to. They made me feel like a person that mattered.

What an embarrassment. This company could care less about their relations with paying customers. If…read moreI could give this clinic a zero, I would. I showed up for an appointment yesterday that I had made 2 weeks ago. The greeting at the front desk was "you're late". I apologized for being 5 minutes late but I was told I was 35 minutes late. The email that I had received from their scheduling department was for 2:30 but according to what they had in the system, I was supposed to be there at 2. Before I could show the girl at the front desk my email with my appointment time, she got up and walked away and got on her cell phone. She came back a couple minutes later and said she was sorry that they would have to reschedule me. I was scheduled at 2:30 at the Weston location to get contrast for my CT arthrogram scan that would be 30 minutes later at another location 5 miles away. She told me the tech left at 4 and wouldn't be able to stay an extra 30 minutes to do my scan. I kindly explained that I had not only taken half a day from work and lost pay, driven an hour and 30 minutes from Homestead, and was on a regimen of medication that was prescribed to me in order to facilitate the scan since I have an allergy to iodine (which the meds were giving me horrible side effects as it was) which made the situation that much worse for me. I was given the wrong appointment time by their scheduling department and they didn't want to fix the problem? That doesn't seem right to me. The stress of knowing for 2 weeks that I was going to be injected with something that could potentially put me into anaphylactic shock, the terrible side effects of the meds I was experiencing, the hour and thirty minute drive there, the loss of wages from taking time from work, the loss of wages from my wife taking time from work to be with me in case I had any allergic reaction, was not enough to remedy the situation. The solution, "sorry, you'll have to reschedule". I walked out extremely upset and received a phone call 2 minutes later from the diagnostic center where the scan was supposed to be done. I explained the situation and the girl told me " hang on, give me a couple minutes and let me see if there is anything I can do". I waited in my car for an hour for a phone call resolving the issue and never received one. Then I drove back in almost 2 hours of traffic with no scan and no resolution. What low quality service. There was no resolution for my issue or anything even offered or anyone to even talk to. Akumin should be ashamed at how they treated this situation and treated me as a patient who is paying for a service. I know they don't care and nothing will be done, but I wanted to share my experience with the community. I will be posting this everywhere including all social media outlets, and I will post this review on all platforms and file a complaint with the BBB, as well as write a formal complaint to my health insurance company. The fabric of our society has been compromised by poorly run businesses and people who simply don't care. It is sad to see how Akumin handled this situation and I hope they don't treat other people the way I was treated. When a company can't take ownership for something they messed up on and they make the patient suffer and waste their time and hard earned money shows that they do not have their priorities in order. How absolutely embarrassing.

The nursing staff is nice too. The only problem is there rude, toxic front desk. Every time I was in the line I thought I'm begging for food rations. I've always on time and had to wait at least 35-45 minutes to be seen every single time. Today I showed up 24 minutes late after a shoulder surgery for a follow up. I had no nanny and had to deal with a 14- months old with me having one arm. Yes, daddy could help but there's unexpected pooping and nappy change prior to leaving that I didn't plan for. The office gave me attitude like "oh, but your appointment was at 8". Yes, bitch. Had I showed up at 8 I would still be waiting to be called. Why do doctors think they are the only one whose time is important. I had to take time off a very well-paying job to come wait around as well. Normally it will take me more than 2 hours in this office for a 15 minutes face time with a doctor. Both my parents were physicians and I worked in patient registration in their hospital growing up. Receptionist was rude and said "I need to know why you're here". No greeting or anything. He was also talking softly and with our masks and the barrier it was hard to hear. I came within the first hour of opening and wait time was about 20 mins. The Dr. took me in and began doing checks. After we went into the room and waited an additional 20 mins. I began to tell him my symptoms, also adding that my ears have been leaking clear, watery fluid with exponential wax build up. Before even checking me, he begins to downplay my symptoms. He was looking at my records and saw most were from out of state since I just moved here. He asks how long I've been here and if I've "experienced Florida weather" before and that abnormal things every now and then are normal...... Right...ok. "It's a Florida thing" After he checks me out, he immediately backtracks and says that I need antibiotics and I have an ear infection. No duh. He would also pose statements as questions, like having enlarged lymph nodes, insinuating if they were normal or not. As a healthy young female...should probably assume no. So many times I had to say "Do I?" because the whole reason I'm here is for the Dr. to make an assessment of the symptoms, not play guessing games. I understand it's his first time seeing me, but still. Some things like post nasal drips are not normal. Anyways, I'd probably check out a different urgent care with a Dr. that cares more. I know they all suck anyway but I at least need a Dr. that cares.

Extremely disappointing experience and poor customer service…read more I visited Broward Health Weston Urgent Care and was seen by Dr. Luis Quinto for urinary symptoms. I was diagnosed with acute cystitis/UTI and prescribed antibiotics. However, the urinalysis performed at that visit showed negative nitrites and negative leukocyte esterase, and the medical record provided to me does not show a positive urine culture confirming the infection. MyChart - Past Visit Details.pdf I was also concerned about the evaluation itself. I do not feel that I received an adequate physical examination before being diagnosed and treated. I felt that my previous history of a UTI was relied upon rather than thoroughly determining what was causing my current symptoms. Because I continued to have concerns about the diagnosis, I subsequently went to my OB/GYN, where another urinalysis was performed and was negative for a UTI. This further increased my concerns about the original diagnosis. I am now being charged $391 for the urgent-care visit. I contacted the office and explained my concerns and asked that the bill be reviewed/adjusted. Instead, I was told that the charge was related to my insurance's 80/20 coverage policy, rather than addressing my concerns about whether the services and diagnosis were appropriate. My concern is not simply that I have an insurance responsibility. My concern is that I received a diagnosis and treatment that I believe was incorrect, and I am now being asked to pay $391 for that visit despite subsequently having a negative urinalysis with my OB/GYN. I expected my concerns to be taken seriously and the bill to be reviewed in light of the circumstances. Unfortunately, I have not felt heard or supported by the office or administration. Very disappointing experience. I would encourage patients to ask questions, request copies of their test results, and seek a second opinion if they have concerns about a diagnosis.
