It wasn't the best experience of my life. I am still very tired while writing this. The Floridian line of the Amtrak is, as I now know, always very, very late. As it was scheduled to leave the station at 3am, I woke up very early to get to this station on time. All the services were closed (very unfortunate) and me and dozens of others waited in the bare waiting room on uncomfortable seats for over and hour and a half before finally boarding at 4:30am. At least this station in particular was clean and the waiting room was open and the signage was well lit from the outside. 3 stars for the building and services and 2 stars for Amtrak itself. The staff on the train itself was very professional and good at their jobs so there's that. I wish there was a rule against people talking so dang loud the whole ride as 99% of us were trying to sleep!! Only gonna do this again in the case of last resort... like I had to this time.

I disliked that I wasn't being informed when the next bus was coming on their screens instead of displaying useless information.

When I arrived at the terminal, the lady working in the office was very friendly and accommodating. Nobody made any announcement or told us what was going on. When the train finally got to the station, there was no guidance as to how to find our car. The train itself is quite long, and not even the ticket made it clear what we were looking for to find our seat. Once we got on, it wasn't clear where we were going. Was this a loop? Was it one-way and we'd get stuck far away from our car? Would we go five stops or so, then backtrack? The train was very slow and didn't go through wooded areas, so we really didn't enjoy the fall foliage. The train itself was smelly and run down. Believe me- the idea of this is far better than the actual experience.

RTA Airport Rapid Station is new and clean. It is one of the several stations that has no staff…read moremonitoring so more based on a honest system. I was surprise that being an Airport station and the beginning and end station of Red Line it would be a self served format. I love the Airplane theme as they are kind of cute. Great to able to catch and train in and out of the Airport to downtown from here. The train was never busy the few times we were on, so not much a problem if you have more bulky luggage.
